We're a small pre-school that is part of Manor Park First School, who believe that the best learning is done through socialising and play. Our priority is to provide a safe, happy environment for your child to learn in which takes into account each child's individual interests and incorporates them into our everyday planning (Child Centred Play).

Manor Park Pre-school is over 30 years old. It was originally known as as the Rainbow Playgroup based in the Dorchester Youth Centre on Colliton Street and then First Steps Pre-school at the Youth Centre on Kings Road. The pre-school moved to it's current site in Manor Park School in 2006 at the request of the Headteacher and Reception Teacher at the time.
There are 6 levels of qualifications for Early Years staff. Our staff are incredibly well qualified and studying and training to improve themselves all the time! We want to provide your child with the best opportunities possible, so a commitment to our own self-improvement is one of our defining characteristics.
The pre-school is full of things to nurture your child's areas of learning and development. All our activities and equipment are geared towards enriching their experiences. Sessions are run in a spacious and well fitted room, enclosed garden area and larger playground. There is easy access for pedestrians and parking in the school car parks.
The aim of Manor Park Pre-school is for every child to reach their full potential. A child's progress is monitored through regular observations. If, for whatever reason, a child does not appear to be reaching their full potential we will discuss the issue with you and, collaboratively, we may amend their activities or additional activities may be introduced to help.
