Services
Haylands Pre-school has been operating for over 50 years on the Island in our purpose built premises within the St. George's Primary School grounds. Although we are situated on the school premises, this does not automatically ensure your child's registration at the school.
We are offering good quality childcare and early education, by providing educational experiences in a safe and friendly environment, to enhance your child's individual skills and encourage social integration by learning through play. This is achieved through a variety of balanced, stimulating activities appropriate to their current stage of development.

At Haylands we offer a nurturing environment full of fun, creativity and stimulation which will inspire all of our children helping them to thrive and learn and prepare them for transition to primary school. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) identifies seven areas of learning that support children's development from birth to aged five.
Parents are welcome to bring their children in for settling in sessions as this helps new arrivals and their transition into preschool. This provides reassurance for the children and their families and helps the staff to get to know the new children. A 'key person' is our name for your child's specific member of staff.
Mon - musical dance, Tue - maths, Wed - junk modelling, Thu - mark making and Fri - story time. The date and time of our Annual General Meeting will confirmed shortly. The Preschool is unable to legally operate without a full committee so it is important that you attend the meeting and support your Preschool.
