We are a 3 - 11 primary school in Cramlington, Northumberland with places for 420 children, plus a 104 place nursery. We are very fortunate to be on a fantastic site with excellent outdoor facilities and a modern, purpose-built building.

We work very hard to ensure Hareside is a caring environment within which children feel safe, secure, valued and happy. These are necessary ingredients for children to be able to learn most effectively. Our curriculum is designed to challenge children to develop and use a broad range of skills.
We believe that a child's learning experience should be broad and be as much about learning life and social knowledge and skills as it is about learning more academic skills.It should also be lots of fun! We aim to find at least one thing in every child in which they excel and in which they are an 'expert' - and we encourage them to take a pride in this.

We aim to create and continuously develop an active, positive, relevant, safe and enjoyable learning establishment for educating the whole child. The purpose of the governing body is to provide confident, strategic leadership and to create robust accountability, oversight and assurance for educational and financial performance. Hareside nursery is a purpose built unit within Hareside Primary School. We are very fortunate to have a modern, attractive environment for our children to benefit from. Our nursery caters for up to 52 children with sessions in the morning and the afternoon. Children can join our nursery from the age of 3 and remain until they begin reception year in the September following their fourth birthday.
All staff at Hareside Primary School are dedicated to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment and a broad and balanced curriculum through which all children can make progress and achieve their full potential. For some children with special educational needs and disabilities we need to intervene and make adaptations to the environment and curriculum to ensure they can make progress.
