Greenfields Community Primary School is a larger than average, vibrant and forward thinking primary school situated in Wideopen in the North West of the borough of North Tyneside; bordering Northumberland and Newcastle. We have bold ambitions for all of our children; Greenfields is a place where children and our community are at the heart of all that happens, a place where every individual's ability is recognised, developed and rewarded.
As the Headteacher of Greenfields Primary School, it is with very warm wishes I welcome you to our school. Choosing the right school for your child can be one of the most difficult decisions you may ever have to make. Let us make it easy for you.
If you choose Greenfields for your child, our committed and highly skilled staff understand that even from the earliest age, all that our children do, learn and experience leads towards an aspirational future of their own making.

If your query is to do with special educational needs, the school's special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCo) is Mrs Gemma Robertson, who can be contacted via the school office. Requests for paper copies: please contact the school office if you would like a paper copy of any of the documents or information contained on our website.
We recognise that school governors hold an important public office and in the interests of transparency, their identity should be known to their school and wider communities, along with up-to-date details of governance arrangements. Please read our Governor Impact Statement for information about the work of the Governing Board during the academic year 2019/20.
They support school by raising money and providing social activities for pupils and their families. All staff, parents and carers can be members and attend meetings of GFPTA. A small group of parents/carers take the role of the Committee within GFPTA, but everyone is welcome and those not able to attend meetings are also valued as helpers to run and support events.

Having 3 children in yrs 6, 3 & 1 I have nothing but great things to say about Greenfields. My children have had a great learning experience thus far. The biggest bonus to the school is the staff - they are just fantastic and have a real positive and proactive approach with a home from home feel. Also, the onsite forest school is great for outdoor learning. Would recommend to anyone.

It's a beautiful campus but the people I encountered here are extraordinarily nosy, uptight and paranoid. The moment I walked through the open gates simply to have a look and take a quick phone call I was treated with disdain for no reason. I hope the security guards can learn to relax and be nicer in the future.
