Kells Lane is a vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve; our children are at the heart of every decision we make. Our school motto is 'Believe, Work Hard, Achieve'. Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children foster a passion for learning and a curiosity that will develop high aspirations and a lifetime of happy memories.

At Kells Lane Primary School we strongly believe in the power of a growth mindset. We believe that ALL children have the ability to achieve what they want to achieve. Everything we do encourages our children to understand that intelligence can be developed. Our pupils see school as a place to develop their own abilities, they think of challenges as opportunities to grow.

Everything we do encourages our children to understand that intelligence can be developed. Our pupils see school as a place to develop their abilities and think of challenges as opportunities to grow. The development of kindness, compassion and integrity is greatly valued, leading to high standards of attainment and behaviour.
It will not be possible for children to experience fully the closure we would wish them to have from the end of the current academic year and prepare for the beginning of the new academic year. Some children may have needed to share equipment with siblings and parents also working from home (both lT and physical resources such as pens, paper, books etc).
The children in the Early Years classes will work towards targets from the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. All children are formally assessed at age 7 and 11 in National Curriculum subjects at the end of each key stage (SATs). However all teachers are assessing the children on an informal basis regularly, looking at different aspects and various subjects.
This is an exciting opportunity for us to extend our Early Years Foundation Stage by offering a quality nursery provision within school. Nursery is led by an experienced, qualified teacher as well as the Early Years Leader. We are excited to be able to expand our nursery space from September, to allow us to offer 52 spaces.
Introduced in 2011, the Pupil Premium is a sum of money given to schools each year by the Government to improve the attainment of disadvantaged children. The pupil premium is intended to directly benefit the children who are eligible, helping to narrow the gap between them and their peers. Children who are or have been looked after under local authority care for more than one day.
