Services
We are a small animal practice based in Buntingford, Hertfordshire. We have grown from a small practice of two vets and a nurse to a caring and friendly team of multiple veterinary surgeons, registered and student veterinary nurses, receptionists and a practice director. We have modern facilities and our aim is to provide high quality, compassionate veterinary care for our clients and their pets.
Here at Woolpack Veterinary Surgery, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
Many of our patients are receiving long term treatment and are eligible for 'repeat prescriptions'. Usually, we see these patients every six months, although for some conditions and often at the start of a new treatment, this may be more frequently. If your pet is due more of their usual medication, please contact us no less than 48-hours before you would like to collect this.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01763 273707 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact the practice where your call will be diverted to a Roebuck Veterinary Group night nurse.

Have two dogs with complex problems. The vets have been outstanding in diagnosis and treatment. We now have two very happy dogs well on the road to recovery. Treatment anywhere is expensive but I thought for 2 very large dogs everything was reasonable. Thank you to the vets, nurses and all at Woolpack involved for making them well again.

I have been with Woolpack Veterinary Surgery for around 5 years. Initially with my very elderly much loved cat. When it was her time, they came to our house and she fell asleep in my arms - so much kinder than having to go the surgery.
We are now first time parents to a puppy - so lots of trips to the vets during these very challenging times. Whilst we can not go in to see the vet with her, they are very well organized and safe, keeping us informed from our cars. I have to say, they are very patient with all our new puppy questions!!
