Services
Fern Cottage Veterinary Surgery was first established in 1974, and has grown and developed over the years into the practice you see today. We are a small team who are dedicated to providing a full, professional and above all, caring and friendly service to our clients and their pets. We pride ourselves in providing continuity of care, allowing a trusting relationship to be built between you and your vet.
Here at Fern Cottage Veterinary Surgery, we're very proud to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated individuals working in our friendly practice. We are all passionate about animals and their well-being, from our veterinary surgeons and qualified nurses to our essential support staff. Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making this a special practice for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgery we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.
We can only dispense drugs for animals that we have seen and have agreed to re-dispense for them. If there is a problem with your request, we will e-mail you back, so please double check that you have entered your email address correctly and also please check your email before collecting. To help keep us all safe, please do not attend the practice unless you have a pre-booked appointment, or have arranged to collect food/medication.
In the event of an emergency during our normal opening hours please call our surgery on 01795 476411 and you will be advised what to do next. If your call is during the night or at the weekend whilst our clinic is closed, please contact Pet Emergency Treatment Services Ltd (PETS) on 01622 734054. PETS are our preferred emergency services partner.

Highly recommend this place. Lovely staff members. Vets and nurses will allow you to be in the room with your pet and will listen to all concerns and suggest the further treatment. My dog has behaviour problems (can become too curious or bark at people) but vet found a way to make my dog calm and trusty whilst in the room.
