The pub will remain open in the evenings at 6pm for drinks only (and Sunday midday-3pm for drinks only). The Alma Inn is a freehouse country pub set within an acre of land, on the edge of the beautiful village of Linton, 5 miles from Ross on Wye. We extend a very warm welcome to all, whether you are stopping for a swift half after walking the dog, or you would like to try one of our hearty, home cooked meals.
The Alma is renowned for serving fantastic real ales - we serve four regular ales and often have an additional guest ale from a local brewery or one that our regulars want to try! Our tasty home cooked pub food is prepared using the best locally sourced ingredients. The menu is small and seasonal, and changes regularly.

Services
Our regular ales include; Butcombe Bitter, MHB Black Pear, Ludlow Gold and Oakham Ales JHB. A guest ale also features weekly, sourced from near and far - either recommended by our locals or just what tickles Dan's fancy that week! We also serve Westons cider on draught, Robinsons Flagon cider, Dortmunder Union Pils and London Stout.
Every month we hold a pub quiz (last Sunday of the month) and "open mic" music night (first Thursday of the month). We also have pub crib and pool teams that play regularly. The hugely successful Linton Music Festival is held in our back garden! This is a three day music festival that was established in 2001 and has raised over 100,000 for charity.

New years eve ruined.
I booked a table for 6 for New Years Eve at the beginning of December, my husband was next to me when I made the booking so I know we asked for the correct night. Tonight, we arrived and were greeted by a couple who I assume were the owners, they were instantly very defensive and rude, they claimed we had booked for Christmas Eve so there was clearly a misunderstanding, which can easily happen, but they were incredibly rude saying how frustrated they were WITH US for not showing up on Xmas eve, a night we didn't even book for. There was no apology or solution offered and

What a find! Went looking for a pub lunch on my birthday and this place delivered in spades!
My steak was cooked to perfection, as were the triple cooked chips. The accompanying salad was plentiful and with a lovely dressing and the blue cheese sauce for the steak was delicious.
My wife had the Ploughman's Lunch and declared it to be the best that she had ever had.
Lovely ambience, great choice of ales and other drinks. Friendly, helpful service.

Great pub, lovely landlord/lady and supporting staff. Going to great lengths to accommodate CV restrictions. Lovely Ales, all well kept and delicious food. Lovely beer garden and outside area. An eclectic mix of locals and passing trade. Music & Real Ale festivals in normal years. A cracking pool table and some pretty handy local players. Well worth a visit 👍

Now, I love a local pub and this is the perfect local pub! Even though I'm not a local we often visit someone who is.
It is always full of locals, laughter, games of Poole and good conversation. This however is the first time I have eaten here. We had 4 different meals all of which were outstanding! Fresh, homemade and delicious with a great choice and presentation. There is one brilliant chef hidden in that kitchen!
