Services
Thank you for looking to book with us, please use the online booking tool below to reserve a table. If we are fully booked for your specific reservation time, we have a lovely garden with stunning views of the Black Mountains and The Malverns, where tables are allocated on a walk in basis along with a small number of tables in our bar area which are kept available.
If it is a drink next to our roaring log burner or enjoying the sunshine and fine views on the extensive terrace, a warm welcome awaits you at The Royal Exchange. We always serve the locally famous Butty Bach and either Hereford Pale Ale or Wye Valley Bitter from the Wye Valley Brewery. We hope you also enjoy tasting some of the less well-known ales on offer too from some of our smaller local breweries whom we are pleased to support.
Matt is our chef and working alongside him are Jeremy and Mike. They are committed to using the best local and seasonal produce available to ensure that you can enjoy a lovely home-cooked meal. Bizarrely, as a very young man back in the 90s, Matt worked in the kitchen of The Royal Exchange as a pot washer!
A large lawned area and sun-terrace ensure that you can make the most of the lovely views over the Malvern Hills, Herefordshire and sometimes, as far as the Black Mountains in Wales. The deck means that you can dine or enjoy a drink al fresco even if our Summer weather isn't so kind - we even have a basket full of lovely fluffy blankets to help keep the chill off!
The Royal Exchange hosts a variety of events for our customers to enjoy - we have the latest big sporting fixtures on the big screen, help with a local fundraising initiatives and have live music. Join us every Friday night at 8pm for the "Friday Exchange"! Collect a free draw ticket on every visit to the pub and come along to see if you are the lucky winner of 100 cash!

Friendly staff and good quality food.. Just poor value for money. The meal in the photo was from the specials board. It was a 10oz ribeye steak meal costing £24.95.. Hardly a meal really. I was still hungry afterwards but wasn't willing to pay for a dessert at £7.95 each. I didn't see the dessert portions, but after mains, I didn't want any further disappointment.
