The Swan is a fun and relaxed traditional free house serving the best local, independent drinks and authentic Indian dishes in the heart of Cheltenham. We are really proud of the quality of our drinks, we've amazing real ale, kegged craft beer, proper ciders and real lagers, all made here in Gloucestershire or its surrounding counties.

Our spirits and soft drinks are local too, supporting amazing independent distilleries and soft drink manufacturers. Our wine is all from Europe, largely organic and we have a selection of delicious natural wines too. We are a region with world-class beers, ciders and spirits and you'll be spoilt for choice here.

We had a roast here, really good food, the gravy, meat and vegan roasts were all fantastic! Definitely recommend. Also a great selection of ales and good wine list too. It wasn't too busy when we came, but service was great. Overall, nice cosy, friendly pub with great food. Order at the bar service, but better than going somewhere pretentious.

Booked here as its dog friendly, he was given a bowl of water & a little mat to settle down on which was very sweet.
We ordered from the Indian menu (rather than Sunday dinner) & everything was AMAZING!! Lots of vegetarian options and nothing disappointed at all, only wish I could have eaten more!

Terrible Sunday roast. No roasted potatoes. They were hard and not roasted. Hard carrots. Chewy undercooked beef and no nice proper yorkshire puddings. More like a muffin! Very overpriced for the quality.

This is a great real pub. Amazing selection of beers, gins and wines. Friendly knowledgeable staff, lovely food (if the Sunday roast is anything to go by.

Walked in without reservation for my Sunday Roast and a nice staff was there friendly to took my order. This restaurant has a big openair terrace at the back and plenty of seats in and out just perfect! My roast beef was super big potion, 3 slices of thick beef! It was nice and really enjoy eating in this place.

Lovely place with great food (amazing Dahl's and samosas), nice choice of beers including class IPAs and great staff who are so friendly. Have a lovely outdoor seating area too. Not too much to dislike, although the drinks can be a bit expensive, but you're paying for quality options.

I've been to The Swan a few times and during Covid it has changed slightly. At the stat of Covid they only allowed people to sit outside and you ordered your drinks when you come in, then pick them up at the next window.
I went yesterday and now half of the inside is open.
It's a really nice beer garden and definitely worth trying.
