Monday & Tuesdays: Closed except Bank Holidays from 12 noon to 3.00 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday: 12 noon to 3.00 p.m. Dropped in for lunch on the way from home in Scotland to the ferry in Plymouth. Used to have a friend and colleague whose family home was North Curry and visited this pub some 45 years ago.

Services
Wednesday to Saturday open 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m with the food serving 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday night closed. We do offer walk ins if we are not fully booked, however we'd recommend booking just in case. We provide free car parking space in our private car park. If there are no spaces available, there is free parking on the road in front of the pub within the village.
Our desserts change often. These can include lemon tarts, cheesecakes, eton mess, brownies as well as a selection of ice creams and sorbets. We provide a wide selection of soft drinks, premium spirits, local real ales from Somerset and Devon with Otter bitter being the main session. On tap: Lagers - Peroni, San Miguel, Carlsberg.

We were met with a lovely welcome , the fire was roaring and all the candles lit , which was absolutely lovely. We had steak which have to say was really presented on our plate extremely well , food was hot and tasted fresh and tasty. We had a pudding , which have to say we had a lovely choice .All in all we had a

What a wonderful pub... If you are interested in experiencing a truly fascinating pub in the English countryside, then you'll have to visit The Birds in Hand. The food is great, the prices are fair and the atmosphere is fairytale-like. If you get there, then you'll have try out their beer battered cod with peas and chips. It's awesome...
