We are very proud of our pub and the warm welcome we give to everyone of our visitors. The Windwhistle Inn is the perfect pub to enjoy a drink, meal or catch up with friends in an historic and picturesque setting. Ideally placed just off the A30 it's a great place to stop and take a break, sit back and relax.

Being on the brow of a range of hills, it does have a panoramic view on a clear day and you can see all the way to Glastonbury Tor & the Bristol Channel. Perfect for weddings and events too - we can plan to tailor-make the ideal celebration for big or small groups in a truly memorable location.

Went for an anniversary lunch. Menu very ordinary. Ordered pie and mash. 'Sorry, run out of mash!' Doesn't take much to make mash so they must buy it in! Was offered roast potatoes instead (?) "Left from yesterday (Sunday)?" "Yes!" And they advertise freshly cooked meals. The other order was the chicken rogan josh. When it arrived water was still draining from the rice into the curry. I do not recommend this place. Tried it after another poor meal a couple of years before. Will not return.

Lovely food, good service, there was some sort of craft fair going on and I'm not sure the purpose of the live band which for me served no purpose in a quiet country pub on a lunch time in early December.

Welcoming, picturesque, good service, good food. Vegetarian options could be more protein based i.e. nut roast for example with carvery. On the whole a very enjoyable and satisfying experience.

The food was really tasty, meats were tender and it was all cooked beautifully, but could definitely have been hotter, was only warm , we had ours at 12.30 so should have been hot. Deserts were good. Staff really pleasant and very friendly.

Avoid!!! Terrible service & horrendous food! Giving one star is being too nice. Wished I had read the reviews on here 1st especially about the food. Shocking will never return.
9 of us arrived to a empty Resturant ordered our food some starters were missing, Steak was burnt to a crisp 3x burgers were completely raw inside, chocolate brownie had been reheated so many times it was just flakes children meals dry and not edible. No staff to ask for items such as spoons/condiments. Spoke to the “manager” who just liked the sound of her own voice had to be told many times to stop being rude to my

Very nice pub with excellent large garden areas with plenty of shade if needed. Stunning views from garden. Good and reasonably priced pub lunch food and beverages, (not a gastro pub, just good pub grub). Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely revisit if in the area.

Lovely pub, friendly staff, good lasagne and well kept beer. Food a little slow to come but the staff made it clear up front that the kitchen was swamped. Will certainly stop again.

We ate here 2 years ago and only gave it 1 star. Ate there again tonight and the food was better. We both had scampi, my wife had the small version which was still quite generous (see photo). The scampi was well cooked but there was something a little odd about the chips. Ketchup improved the flavour.
The tables could do with a proper clean as the paper napkins stuck to the one we were sitting at.
