Dinnington Docks
The Dinnington Docks is a rare, unspoilt country pub, set in rolling Somerset countryside with beautiful views from a large garden, skittle alley and ample parking. Known for its Cask Marque approved local ales, fine local ciders, spirts and a well-balanced wine list with many wines offered by the glass.

All complementing a menu boasting locally sourced ingredients delivered as pub classics, daily specials or the foodies delight of good starters, mains and deserts. Good food and drink well served, the Dinnington Docks is many peoples favourite - it is the Dinnington tradition. The interior has not changed in some 60 years and many of the features are much older.
Services
When it comes to the food we serve, we try as much as we can to source the finest of local and seasonal ingredients, prepare them with care and serve them with good service and a smile. All delivered as pub classics, daily specials or the foodies delight of great starters, mains and deserts. And of course, we can recommend either an ale, cider or the perfect wine to accompany your meal.
We try as much as possible to keep our Cask Marque approved ales from Somerset, or -adjoining counties - we don't like going far from home. Our regular beers include Butcombe Original, Teignworthy Gundog, and Otter Bitter, we then regularly change our guest ales with beers from Quantock, Exmoor, Otter, Exeter, Cheddar and Fine Tuned Breweries.
Andrias Guerin is a solo singing guitarist with a large repertoire covering Irish, Country and Pop music along with some funny songs too. Big Whisky is an acoustic trio featuring Ryan, Stuart and from Hundred Days Kelly. They play acoustic versions of well known songs. With three part vocals and energetic guitar parts.
Situated near to the beautiful town of Hinton Saint George in the Hamlet of Dinnington we are ESE of Ilminster, NW of Crewkerne and NE of Chard.

From the North on the A303, take the old Ilminster road B3168 at the South Petherton roundabout, at Lopen Head, exit 1 of the 1st roundabout, the road to Merriot, as you drop down the hill take the little lane on the right - sign posted to Dinnington - we are the first building on the right as you enter Dinnington.

Great food, good portion sizes, and attentive service. They didn't keep asking if we wanted more drinks as some places do. We will be going back. Keep up the good work.

Homely pub tucked away in beautiful Dinnington. Excellent food followed by excellent service. Can’t fault this place - chicken was cooked to perfection and oyster mushroom starter was delightful.

It had obviously been a busy day, as some items were no longer available on the menu, which shows that they only use fresh produce. The Dover sole, pork belly and fish and chips were delicious, as were the mushroom and goats cheese starters. Thank you.

Nice pub but there is nothing to do for the kids, despite a huge lawn, a brilliant blank canvas to place fun things on to relieve weary parents wanting to eat. .. perhaps that's deliberate? maybe we are being punished , there is a nice boules area but the sign says NOT FOR CHILDREN IN CAPITALS.. Wow..
I love capitals.. Especially Paris..
They quite like children over there.
So if your kids enjoy running around a beautiful, large empty square lawn with nothing on it but grass & don't like petanq .. Head here..

A busy remote village Pub with a large beer garden serving a selection of ales, beer, wines and spirits as well as good food prepared in house.
Events include a classic and vintage vehicle meet first Wednesday of the month.
Ample parking with an overflow field to cater for events.

I haven't been to the Docks for some time and I have to say, it was a fantastic evening. Lovely food and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was to much trouble for them. Will most definitely be coming back again soon.
