Fischer's
An informal neighbourhood restaurant and cafe with a classic Viennese menu, from restaurateurs Corbin & King. Warmly evocative of Vienna in the early years of the twentieth century, Fischer's is open for breakfast until late into the evening. A place to linger on your own at any time of day over a paper, cake and coffee; to relax with friends over lunch or dinner; to meet over breakfast or for an early evening aperitif.

The classic Viennese cafe menu runs from breakfast to morning coffee, through to lunch, mid-afternoon snacks and a full dinner service. The menu includes an extensive choice of cured fish, salads, schnitzels, sausages, brotchen and sandwiches, strudels, biscuits, ice-cream coupes, hot chocolates and coffees with traditional tortes mit schlag.

This is a very nice place to go to! First of all the feel and look of the place. It is so welcoming and so comfortable. I love the booths, giving you a little bit of privacy. Everything fits together and is just really classy. We were greeted by such a nice front of house manager and she made sure all the guests are happy with everything throughout the evening. Now, it is not usual to see such care for customers and that is definitely something that wins you over! But all staff were very nice and welcoming. And food? Delicious! Weather you go for a small bite or a big feast, everything is prepared

Fantastic Brunch. Spatchcock Chicken seasoned beautifully, creamy mash, delicious roasted cauliflower which I… highly recommend and green beans washed down with a delicate Pouilly Fuissé Vieilles Vignes 2019, Domaine des Deux Roches which did not over power the food. Good service, great atmosphere with lots of background chatter. Highly recommend. Cost About £70 per person in our group but that’s probably down to the cost of the wine we chose.

I keep coming to this place as Everything is good from The food to the staff . The interior is quite elegant too. Please save room for Kaiserschmarrn, shredded pancake with fruit compote. Sacher torte is very good too. It never disappoints.

It’s been more than 2 years since I’ve visited Fischer’s and it’s like no time has passed at all! Still the same lovely food and lovely service. So happy they’ve made it through. Thanks for a wonderful meal!!!

Came there without booking for a lunch and managed to get a table. Since it is supposed to be an Austrian restaurant and we really like the food, wanted to give a try. First of all, I would say the food is not pure Austrian, but more like a mixture between English and Austrian. For example, they have both an Apple strudel and and a crumble. Still it is really tasty and well cooked (the fish was fantastic and goulash was pretty good as well). Also the staff is attentive and helpful. The prices are upscale. All in all, I would recommend visiting Fischer’a if you are in the area (but better to book

We really enjoyed our early dinner at the Fischer’s. there was a table available without a reservation. Then the place got really busy, so I’d recommend to book it. Great food and impeccable service. Chilled Borsch tasted amazing on a hot day, and the beef goulash was lovely. Thank you!

My first time at Fischers. Lovely 1930s themed Austrian food. Service was excellent, all very professional but also very nice and welcoming. The food I had was very good.
I definetly want to go back to try a few more menu items.
Sorry for the dark photos - did not want to use flash photography inside.

Fisher is where I’ve discovered a bit of Austria in the belly of London. Been there twice and never ever disappointed, quite the opposite.
Atmosphere: awesome. Cuisine: even better than what I’ve experienced in Vienna (not kidding 😇).
Staff is top notch, the interiors are outstanding (although I feel sorry for the stuffed animals on the walls).
Leave room for the dessert, whatever you’re taking. Mint tea was also perfect, helps you feeling lighter.

Just ok food. Have been many times before and always had pretty good meals. Today I have chilled borscht which was so chilled it was flavourless, saved by delicious brown bread. For mains pastrami rosti. Rosti had been pre cooked and then heated again, so it was tough and flat - almost like a cracker. Pretty expensive too.

It was Thanksgiving Day, and I was in London looking for sauerkraut. That may sound odd, but Thanksgiving in my SouthEast Baltimore home is not complete without sauerkraut (but I agree with Mark that Cauliflower is Not traditional!) I "Yelped" for German food and found Fischer's just a few block from my hotel. The 5 block walk started dry and ended with a quick run in the pouring pouring rain. I entered and was greeted with "how long will you be here?" I may have mis-heard, so I said, "Excuse me, I'm here for supper." "Yes, will you be here long

What can I say, Germanic food is my favorite so when we saw this while we were walking it wasn't even a question about whether to check it out. And it was amazing. I ordered the Wiener Schintzel (classic) with a side of spätzle and my wife got the veal bratwurst, both were amazing. We didn't quite make it to Vienna on this trip but after this dinner I feel like I was almost there. Very content.

This is the second time I've been hustled out of Fischers after my "timed table" expired and both times after the service was mediocre at best - the staff dithers in taking orders - (we ordered cocktails 2x - they never came) no one seems to be in charge - food took over 25 minutes- then they basically tossed us out when our "time" expired. No warning. If you are going to time sittings - and I have NO problem with that - you better have a well trained staff to take orders and serve. Ive done many expensive business dinners at Fischers- but I'm done. Its a big city

Service is good, food is ok but nothing to write home about given the price. The schnitzel was mediocre, I've had way better ones elsewhere. You'll have a decent meal but pay for a great one.

Viennese cafe with solid breakfast options including the pastries they are best known for. One of the relatively few places you can get American style pancakes in London--fluffy, topped with blueberries this time. Or you can opt for poached eggs with toast, or a tremendous omelette--my partner's favorite, with cheese and mushrooms. Part of the same chain that runs The Delaunay and the Wolseley in other parts of town.

Good basic Wiener schnitzel with brown sauce but no sides, which need to be ordered separately. Chicken soup with spatzel also proved to have a few scallions and a lot of shredded carrot.

Fischers is one of our favourite restaurants. It's located on Marylebone high street which is my most loved street in London. The restaurants decor has a lot of character which adds to the atmosphere. Service is extremely attentive and the food is flavoursome and filling. As a vegetarian - I find this place awesome as they have a vegetarian menu they will bring you if you're veggie. I tend to order the "kasespatzle" as my starter and the "mushroom stroganoff" as my main. The mushroom stroganoff is particularly amazing and the portion is very generous. My husband likes

It felt as we were back in Vienna, the venue is stunning and the food transports you as much as the decor.
I had the wiener schnitzel and finished with a strudel, perfect comfort food!
We were on a hunt for the best schnitzel in London and Fischer's is amongst the best in the city. But if you compare value for money then I would say Kipferl just tops Fischer's slightly!

Went to Fischers for the 2nd time today and they really elevated my previous 2-star sentiment to a full score.

Last time I foolishly ordered the frankfurter which I did not enjoy at all; perhaps my predilection for American frankfurter hotdogs marred my expectations, but a fennel-heavy boiled sausage with the texture of a Chinese meatball put me off more than a little, and the odd flavoured dover sole was a poor substitute for better ones in town (wright brothers when available, Daphnes, etc).

This time I stuck with schnitzel and it was great. Soggy fries of yesterday crispy this time around

I may be overrating the restaurant somewhat given that I was feeling a little "under the weather" from a big night out the day before (as literally any decent food that I didn't have to cook myself would have quenched my hunger!), but it's testament to the quality and size of the portion of the Käsespätzle (with Bacon) that I ordered that I left both immensely satisfied and also struggled to finish my meal - which almost never happens given my huge appetite.

The waitress was incredibly helpful with her recommendation, as I was having a tough time choose something from the

I gave high rate for their schnitzel. It was proper and top it with a side of medium cut fries, it is beautiful! The frankfurter was not too bad either. I ordered the potato salad and sauerkraut to eat with the sausages and they were very nice. The interior design also makes you feel like you are literally somewhere in Germany or Austria.

When it comes to dessert, this place offers the classic and original black forest, which was excellent!

Came here for Valentine's Day 2016 brunch. This place seems to usually be pretty busy, so booking ahead of time is probably a good idea.

Great spot overall. Lovely 'old world' kind of ambiance. Friendly and pretty attentive service. The food is of a high quality, well priced, and the portions are more than adequate. We had the smoked trout, apple and gherkin salad to start. For entrees, she had eggs Benedict and I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. We also had two orders of coffee (that was a healthy amount of coffee). All in, including the included 12.5% tip, the total came

My husband and I went here a few weeks ago as I had been wanting to try this place. The food is good - not amazing, but good, reliable.

My husband's schnitzel was okay, and my sausage was quite tasty, but not amazing. Apple strudel was also, just okay. The food quality is good, but the flavours are just kind of lacking.

I wouldn't come running back for the food, but the ambiance is fantastic. The decor is so cute and warm, it's a nice place to have an Autumn or Winter lunch when you're craving Austrian food and is great for people watching. Our service was quite brusque but

Want a slice of Vienna, then this is the place for you.

However be warned the service is often cold and impersonal.

The prices are slightly to high for the standard of food. Although might be reasonable if the price included the first class airfare for the food from Austria.

Having written my undergraduate dissertation on Viennese coffeehouses I was irresistibly drawn here for a celebratory family meal. The interior is delightful - inspired by 20s Viennese coffee establishments with great attention to detail which includes Art Deco tiles, newspaper holders and curtains to shield diners from the street just as in the Viennese originals. Sadly just like in the modern Cafe Central et. al. in Vienna, Fischer's isn't quite the home away from home with local gentlemen passing entire days at its tables. But what it is is a fantastically delightful restaurant with

We read so many reviews on Fischers which is in our neighborhood that we were excited to try it.

Food: We ordered the beef soup to start which was very flavorful, but a bit heavy. For our entrees we ordered the sausages (you can choose two) which were both delicious and came with potato salad along with the tafelspitz which was good, but too fancy. I was hoping it would be more like the traditional tafelspitz you get in Austria. We also ordered a side of the gem salad which was a perfect little salad.

Drinks: We ordered two glasses of prosecco.

Price: 66.60 GBP for two people. FYI - They
