Had a lovely time. Staff very friendly.
Not too many customers when I ate there on a weekday. No-one wore masks.
My friend is a regular here. I had sesame prawn toast starter (huge portion big enough to share). Very yummy noodle dish with king prawns. Don't recall name 🤦🏻‍♀️
The restaurant at front has the most creative ambience. We sat at the back at the top of the stairs on the way down to the toilet(!)

We've been going here since it opened and still, two decades on plus, choose it for family outings, so all I can say is - hello again my favourite Thai restaurant!

Nice thai food eatery in notting hill! We dined here during the phase when only dining outside was allowed - quite nice street side dining too.

I love the food here, but today I found a tiny piece of aluminnium or metal straw in my pad thai... you could barely notice it!
you really should be careful with the handling of the food, this could cause an accident!!!!

First and foremost the service was friendly and relaxed - good start. The pad Thai with grilled king prawns was decent, good taste and good portions. Tried green jelly juice, unusual, didn’t dislike it, would opt for Thai ice tea with milk any day if given the choice. Loved the Thai fish cakes starter!

Friendly service but my vegetable pad Thai came as noodles with one single and lonely piece of broccoli. When I questioned it, they said they had put mushroom in there for me and they could order extra serve of vegetables at an extra cost. Ridiculous. It all worked out, as I crossed the road to try Banana Tree instead and had delicious, fresh, vegetable filled dish.

Authentic Thai food for sure (at least from what I've ordered). I ordered Thai Boat Noodles with meat balls and a take home of Pork Nam Tok and they didn't disappoint. I will come again if I'm ever in the area.

Yes, the food is a little oily, the curries and pad thai run on the sweeter side, and yes the food gives way *a little* to western tastes. If you don't mind this much however, the food is consistently great.
Service and atmosphere unusually kind and welcoming for London. A big plus.

For the restaurant, it has this heavy hipster look. BUT the food was just okay! Didn't really have the Thai flavour. Being an Asian, I was really disappointed with the dishes being too sweet.

I have eaten here three times now and each time I have been impressed. The Thai dishes are authentic and satisfying. I prefer the stir-frys and the Pad Thai noodles. Fast delivery too.

I just went to Thai Rice for the second time, and it was pretty good. We had a nice server who came to pour more water into our glasses when needed and she was quick when taking our orders. I had the vegetarian spring rolls, which I couldn't complain about, and veggie pad Thai noodles, which were fine but I felt a bit sick halfway through eating them. Very oily food, but maybe that's just me. Regardless, I had a nice time with my friend and the atmosphere was good. Not too crowded and very accessible (literally across from Maida Vale station). I don't know if I would recommend it

Nice to be able to get something pretty close to genuine Thai food in London. Really like their menu. Customer service could be a little better.

I have been there twice and both time, really enjoyed my curries and the sticky rice than comes in a little bamboo ball. Friendly staff. The first time, they were really fast in bringing the food. Second time, I think they forgot us a bit. But anyway, the food was really yum.

The staff is friendly and takeaway is incredibly fast. Too fast. The food doesn't seem fresh. I think it might sit for a while. I went a few times for pad thai but stopped going after I got pad thai with prawns and the prawns were soft and mushy. It made me suspect of the food.

Thai Rice is an oasis of hope in the barren takeaway desert that is Maida Vale. Why? The prices are cheap, the service is friendly and fast with a family feel, and the food is great. The Pad Thai and Yellow Curries in particular are fantastic, and the lighting and cocktails are enjoyable if decide to dine in. Big fan of this place. Would be five stars if the potions were just a weency bit bigger. But I appreciate that may be me being a greedy western fatty.

We are good old fashioned customers who like to get what you pay for. We were disappointed to pay 50 quid for a poor meal experience. Wait staff were many but appeared to actively avoid us at those key meal moments- waiting to order, having finished our drinks and wanting the bill, but were present in abundance to take our dishes well before we had finished. The dish containing an unchewable piece of meat managed to remain on our table until after we had left for some reason. The Thai Rice Platter starter of deep fried goodness was pleasing as all things deep fried are. Sadly the mains left alot

Pretty decent food and pretty decent prices. A good selection of fairly unusual things, and soft-shell crab almost everything, now that it's the season, which is nice.

Super nice and friendly wait staff who are undeniably patient with the giant arseholes who seem to frequent the place and are terribly rude, typically.

American in London:

I go to Thai Rice just about once a week. Seems like the staff are students from Thailand here on a visa or something (I always see one person studying whenever I'm in there haha).

The food: Amazing - I love everything about this place and its food, its a contender.

I was impressed with Thai Rice. Conveniently located directly across from the Maida Vale stop on the tube it's convenient and tasty.

Surprising large drink menu. I mean really large. Loads of wines and spirits. Not so much on tap.

Excellent Tom Kha soup. Adorable waiters but be prepared to do just that... wait. And wait. Is that our food? No, more waiting. Don't be in a hurry for the adorably dysfunctional Thai Rice.

Within steps of the Maida Vale Tube stop, the restaurant is perfectly suited for those moments when you are in a hurry and want Thai. The food is medicore and they try with a few inventive dishes such as Lobster Pad Thai. It just doesn't stand out.
