The Plough Inn
So July the 19th is here! As you are aware, there are a few changes to the government rules and regulations taking place as of today. We wanted to let you know that the safety of our staff and customers has always been our priority throughout this pandemic. Because of this, we hope you understand that we would rather take a slow but sure approach so that we can continue to operate safely.

Whilst face coverings are no longer required by law, we hope you'll continue to take care and, wherever possible, keep your distance. Some of our staff have taken the decision to keep their masks on so please respect that. We no longer need to request customer details for the NHS app but our sanitising stations will remain in place.
Services
Sunday Roasts are available on Sunday between 12-7pm (or until we run out!) Choose from beef, gammon or roast chicken. All our Roast Dinners are served with roast potatoes, traditional accompaniments and stockpot gravy. Yorkshire puddings are traditionally served on the beef dinner can be added to any of our other roast dinners - just ask a member of staff.
If you're looking for a real ale pub in the Cheshire area (or looking to escape the busy city of Chester!) then come in for a great pint. Brewed just a mile away in Waverton, this pale craft beer has a zesty, dry flavour and a fresh hoppy aroma. A potent mix of Summit, El Dorado and Cascade hops delivers a hefty zing of spicy citrus, sweet orange and stone-fruits.

Been here in the past and quite enjoyed our visits. This time however the overbearing COVID restrictions spoilt our visit. We were made to feel a bit like we were not welcome, the bar person was not very friendly either, which made the atmosphere worse. He took our two drink order, yet he still managed to give my wife the wrong flavoured bottle of cider. We quickly drank up and left. Not impressed.

They really look after the beer here. I recommend any real ale they have on. Hopefully kids will be allowed back once the last of the Covid restrictions are lifted. Great place to stop off on a rural Cheshire cycle ride. Great traditional pub interior. Worth a visit.

Returned to The Plough last night and we had a very tasty meal. Very pleasant staff looked after us well!
Tasted the guest draft beer Neck Oil and wow lovely, very fresh and zesty.
Would’ve stayed longer but too full with Cajun chicken wings followed by a hearty steak and ale pie and lush gravy 😋😋
Will return soon ☺️👌🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ever friendly and always good beer! The food selection is good, though it's pleasant rather than high quality. However the friendly welcome makes up for a lot and we return regularly.

Would be a 3.8 if I could score that.. Food was ok. My brownie was really hard so couldnt eat it but my friend's was fine, she really liked it. We had Moroccan lamb and rendang. Hand sanitizer didnt seem to be working, I pumped it around 4 times and nothing came out but thankfully I had my own. Staff were gloves. No track or trace that I was aware of but staff were pleasant

Yet again they surpass all expectation. The chefs special are excellent. Duck breast with seasonal veg and mash with a blueberry and wine sauce. Pheasant pie with mushroom and baby onions. Don't miss this place
