Just spent one night at this amazing place, had a beautiful 3 course meal, everything was so tasty & cooked to perfection. The staff were all so lovley at both diner & breakfast.
Although we sat inside the outside of this venue is so beautiful with it's little beach hut booths to it's wonderful view & an amazing outdoor fire pit table.
The rooms were a great size & lovely & warm, spotlessly clean.
Would definitely recommend & will definitely be coming back.

Just had a two night stay here and wasn't disappointed. Nice rooms which are located outside the pub so no disturbances.
It has the added advantage of it's own car park, which is pay and display but free for residents.
The food is good and what you'd expect for a J.W. Lees pub and the staff were great, all very friendly and very helpful.
The Boathouse is only about a 10 minute walk out of the centre of Chester, which has plenty to do for a couple of days, and is good for nightlife.
Will definitely be returning to the Boathouse next time we're looking at stopping over in Chester, highly recommended

Went here after we went the Christmas markets. Food was fab surroundings was amazing open fires Christmas lights very cosy. Little cabins for your own private meet ups. overlooking the river. Staff very attentive. Would definitely go back. It’s great in the summer too sitting on the outside deck watching the boats go past

My daughter and I had the sharing sunday dinner platter. All I can say was it was fantastic. The food was excellent there was so much and it tasted amazing. The different kinds of vegetables was great and the roast potatoes and meat were perfect.
The staff were really friendly and very helpful and we will be visiting more frequently.
I would describe it as a little gem. Lots to choose from and it even has liver on its menu which for people like my father was a happy surprise even if not to everyone's taste. 😉.

We parked today in the courtyard (pay and display) to go for a drink only. The pay terminal states that your parking will be refunded for your custom. We went to the door to be greeted by a a young guy draped over the rostrum where it states please wait to be seated. I mentioned that we only want a drink, I could see no customers at all inside or out only to be told "there's an hour's wait as we're low on staff" I mentioned again that we only wanted a drink to which he replied "ye an hour's wait, that's how it is!"

Really enjoyed our stay. On arrival our room wasn't quite ready so the manager offered us free drinks whilst we waited which we had not expected and was a lovely gesture. As the weather was sunny we appreciated the opportunity to sit and enjoy on their floating deck. The location is perfect on the river bank and a good place to watch the world sail by and also handy to walk to town. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. As we stayed on Sunday evening a lot of places to eat closed early in town, so on our return to the hotel they made us an evening meal, again a nice touch. Staff were very professional

Food was lovely and reasonably priced. I had the gammon steak which was absolutely delicious especially with the onion fries that accompanied. My wife had the fish and chips which was huge and the kids had the fish goujoms and cheesy pizza bread which both enjoyed and didn't leave any on the plate which is always a good sign. The kids meals also came with free ice cream which is a great bonus. Service was friendly and professional and also has great views of the river.
