Our vision for our children was revisited during the Autumn term 2017. All stakeholders were invited to contribute ideas towards what our vision should mean for our children today. At Cradley Church of England Primary School we believe that every child is made in the image of God and as such is a person of great worth, to be valued and treated with respect.
We want our children to believe in themselves and their own abilities so that they can aspire to be the best they can be. As a school we believe in all our children and encourage them to aim high and to follow their dreams. We will help our children to develop resilience, to have the confidence to choose the right path in life, but also to find their way back if they take a wrong turn.

My name is Marcia Harris and I am proud to be the Headteacher of Cradley CE Primary School. Cradley is a successful and happy one form entry VA Primary School in the heart of Cradley. Our lovely little school has a distinctive Christian ethos and caring atmosphere and visitors to Cradley comment on the 'family feel' that they experience as they walk through the door.
Governors work on a voluntary basis, i.e, Governors are not paid for their duties. Governors attend training sessions to prepare them for their role. Governing Bodies have many responsibilities and they need to make decisions about how these should be carried out.
A large part of the work involved relates to school improvement, so governors specialise in certain topics, such as Literacy, Numeracy, Special Needs, Assessment and Teaching and Learning. It is often necessary to spend more time than we have at the regular Governor meeting to discuss policies, budgets or reports.

At Cradley CE Primary School worship is at the heart of the life of our school; it is an affirmation and celebration of our core Christian values, vision and ethos. The ethos of our school, encompassing all that we stand for, is reflected in and expressed through Collective Worship.
Our worship is inspired by the Christian understanding of God as Trinity; this includes belief in God, the source of all being and life, belief in Jesus who reveals God's love by his life, death and resurrection and belief in the Holy Spirit who makes the presence of Jesus known in the world.Collective worship provides a space for reflection and prayer.

English develops children's ability to listen, speak, read and write for a wide range of purposes, including the communication of their ideas, views and feelings. Children are enabled to express themselves creatively and imaginatively as they become enthusiastic and critical readers of stories, poetry and drama, as well as of non-fiction and media texts.
