Services
Our recently formed Governing body are representatives of the parents, staff, local community. I'm Brendan Oakley, a 50+ year old happily married family man with two grown up kids (both went to Sledmere School) and living within walking distance of the School and whilst my day job is in the world of construction.
We believe that positive behaviour underpins learning and we expect and reinforce good behaviour at all times. We want our school to be a happy place, a place where the children want to be, where they feel safe and secure, where they feel valued and where they can learn. Our mission statement Be the best you can be' sums up these values.
Ensuring high standards are achieved through curiosity, discovery and partnership between pupils, staff, parents and the community. Providing an enquiry-based curriculum, developing knowledge, understanding, transferable skills and cultural capital in a purposeful way that will improve the lives of our children.
In this section you will find information about how we support children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Jill Hillery, our Special Needs and Disability Coordinator, or Mrs Harpreet Karam, our Inclusion Manager. You are welcome to come to our school office to ask to see them or arrange an appointment.
