At our school we are committed to creating a safe, enjoyable, stimulating and creative environment for all of our children to flourish in. Our staff, Governors and families work together to strive to ensure that the primary years are a positive, rewarding experience for all of our children and we all learn together in a caring Christian community.
As we love our communities and families well throughout this week and in this time, we reflect God's love to the world around. For this week on the theme of Love, it demonstrates how we stand together through challenging times, strengthened by the love we have for one another and in Christ who strengthens us.

During the Autumn Term, our topic is 'Magical Me.' Over the next few weeks, we will be starting our Read Write Inc sessions and the children will be learning the individual letter sounds called 'Speed Sounds' by sight and practising blending them together to read words, 'c-a-t = cat.' We will share with the children our special celebrations, such as the alligator chomp, the karate cheer and the cheese grater.
Our topic this term is Fire! Fire! In History, the children will use their knowledge of the Great Fire of London studied in Year 1 to ask questions such was this the only 'Great' fire recorded. Through a local study of Nantwich, the children will learn about the Great Fire of 1583 which was a catastrophic event in the history of Nantwich, destroying most of the town.
Our topic in Amber class for the Autumn term is going to be The Stone Age and we will be exploring the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age periods. We will look at what made these periods in history special, exploring the discoveries and inventions. We will look at what cave men were really like and discover what it would have been like to live in those times.
Our topic in Year 5 this term is World War One; with a focus on Audlem at War. During this topic the children will research what life was like in Audlem during 'The Great War' period, and find out about local men that went off to fight for their country as well as those who stayed behind. We will learn about what it was like for the soldiers in the trenches (as well as the skies and seas) and for their families at home.
Our school is a place where EVERYONE matters. We all care for each other in a Christian community and we are inspired to reach our true potential by becoming confident and independent individuals. Together we learn, play and pray. Through sharing the life-giving message of Jesus Christ, we are committed to delivering exciting and engaging learning opportunities to enable our children to develop a love of learning and achieve their best.
