At Sound and District Primary School, we are passionate about supporting children to develop their skills and knowledge through the programmes of Geography and History. We appreciate and highlight the lifelong skills these subjects can teach us, sharing subject skills, knowledge and experiences to help us to learn more about who we are and the world around us.
We learn in these subjects through topic studies, usually with a geographical or historical focus. We understand that through topic work, we undertake the work in the chosen subject, learning about the tools and skills required by both geographers and historians. Our aim is for the children to develop their understanding of places and environments.

There are lots of unique and amazing things about Sound (especially the fabulous children) but when I first stepped through the door it was the welcoming, family atmosphere that I felt and the togetherness that the whole school community show.I love teaching in the Early Years. It is such a joy and a privilege to see children grow and develop confidence in their learning.

All admissions for children starting school, or those transferring to school are handled centrally by Cheshire East Council. At Sound and District Primary School we love to show you around so that you can get a real feel for our family ethos. You get the chance to meet the children and staff and see us in action!

Wow. This school was nothing but over protective and invasive of not only my sons life, but my family’s home life. It it very unfortunate that the SEN system was in place, as it had potential to be great. They not only changed my son’s education routine without my full consent, but had a full-on FILE of everything they knew about him. Would give 0 stars if I could.
