An eye test is a vital health check for your eyes and could save your sight. Adults should have an eye test at least every two years, and some people may be advised to have a test more often. It is never too soon to start your childrens' eye care. We advise that children have their first check at around 3 years old.

When you reach the point of not being able to read up close without stretching your arms out, you need to consider prescription reading glasses. Ready-made reading glasses are fine for occasional use, however most people do not have exactly the same prescription in both eyes. Headaches, eye strain, and even nausea can result from wearing reading glasses that are not made to your individual prescription.
