Our owner and head optician Parul Shah has wanted to be an optician since she was a little girl. When she was just 12 years of age, Parul's father was diagnosed with cataracts which meant frequent visits to the optician. It was during these visits that Parul's interest in optics began to develop.
Parul says: When my father was diagnosed with cataracts I always went with him to his appointments because I was fascinated by the equipment and technology.I also wanted a career that would allow me to help others, so I studied hard and graduated from Manchester University in 1987. Parul acquired our practice in 1998 and completely refurbished the building.
