I came across this business as one of very few stockists for a particular luxury brand of sunglasses. I’d purchased a pair abroad which were faulty and I’d not been getting response from the brand in question.
Although I hadn’t purchased them at their store Abbas invited me in so that he could examine them and worked hard for me to get a replacement frame from them. It was no easy task, and Abbas continually kept me updated.
It’s all too rare to find people or businesses, that are willing to be so helpful with the expectation of nothing in return.

Shivali and the team were really helpful and professional during my visit. I've been to a few glasses shops in my time and this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Great selection of frames, state of the art eye test equipment and excellent customer service - they're experts. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality eyecare and glasses.

I've been very satisfied by the time and consideration the team at Hodd Barnes & Dickins provided me with. I have a complex correction (strong myopia and astigmatism) and it has always been a difficult job to get the measurements and adjustments right for me. They got it just right and yet it was the first time for me in their store.
They have also given me great advice to choose my new frame - I first picked options I thought I would like, and they then suggested something I was not even considering and this was actually perfect. I would recommend listening to them - professionals (and good ones

These people must be one of the last remaining "old fashioned" companies in this business. Not that they aren't hi-tech - on the contrary, they have the absolutely latest technologies on site. No. Its their service. Something you never find anywhere else. Does that service end when you leaver the shop? Definitely not! I had a problem with my glasses, and found myself abroad unable to get to them in London due to the COVID-19 shutdown. Sent the glasses to them by courier after they explained exactly how to pack them up and label them. Their repair charges were very fair, and 10 days later they were

Without doubt the best opticians in the business and the best I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with! The whole team here at Hodd Barnes & Dickens in Holborn are top drawer on every level; knowledge, skill, approachability, temperament, friendliness, courtesy, etc. They also have a superb range of the very best frames and sunglasses.
