Chose this place because the reviews were good and it lived up to them. I have been wearing glasses for 34 years and have never experienced such good or attentive service. Yes it is a bit more expensive than most places but you don't need to change specs very often, so it's worth investing a bit for something so important, especially if you prescription is a little bit more complicated. And you really do get what you pay for. There’s a few good reviews here already, and I’ll just add that this place is expensive but it’s absolutely worth every single penny, don’t go anywhere else for glasses or contacts, and if you found it while searching but don’t live nearby you would do well to make a journey here to get the best service. I was shocked, amazing opticians with state-of-the-art equipment and down to earth manner. My spec lenses are incredible. Thanks!

I went for a eye-test and I must say that, from the reception to the eye expert, the service was outstandingly excellent. Very warm, kind and friendly and keeping professionalism. They explain everything very well and great great consideration during these COVID times, keeping distance whenever possible, wearing masks and wiping all the machines in front of you to make you feel safe. If I moved out from the zone, I’d still try to come here for my checks.

Great range of frames, so I still get my frames here even though we've moved 100 miles away. Staff were extremely helpful when my glasses broke on a Sunday. I phoned and spoke to someone on the same day. I posted them for repair on the Monday, they repaired and reposted them on the Tuesday, and now on Wednesday they're already back on my face again! Big relief! :-)

Great place that really care about the person. Afterr having a bad experience at Specsavers, I came to The Eye Place. The eye exam itself is super thorough - more than you would get at any other eye exam with the doctors genuinely caring about your eye health. The front of house staff care about how your glasses fit and look. They will be patient and help you find the best frame for your face and make sure they fit. The staff all take their time helping you, and make you feel like you are important. It's such a lovely atmosphere and a great place to come for my eye exams.

The Eye Place had the most helpful and approachable staff I have experienced, in any industry. They really went above and beyond to make sure that what I needed was provided (next day transitions lenses) at a very reasonable price!
The staff are very knowledgeable, and the place has a lovely vibe. I would, and will, highly recommend this place to anyone.

Alex(the optician)has always had an interest in the latest eye testing technology.The equipment he has is really only usually available within a specialist clinic and also he is very experienced in interpretation of those images.For example he has the latest updated "Opto-map machine that looks in fine detail at your retinas.
Also the OCT Machine with looks at your optic nerve and gives a 3D image so it can really be checked in detail.Its not cheap for these tests but if you think about it,you cannot get this level of specialist equipment combined with Alex,s experience. As far as I know in
