Cross Lane Primary & Nursery School
We pride ourselves on providing a challenging, inspiring and creative curriculum: a rich education that gives our children the knowledge, skills and learning behaviours they need to succeed now; in the next phase of their learning and for future success. We hold high ambition, aspiration and expectation for all.

Children from all backgrounds are welcome here and everyone is encouraged to contribute positively to the school, life in the local community and beyond. We are proud of our inclusive and nurturing approach to education and we continue to grow together.
Services
Cross Lane puts the children's needs and welfare at the heart of every decision. Every child in our school is treated fairly and respectfully. Our aim is to find and nurture the potential in every child in order that everyone suceeds and feels proud of their achievements. We are a strong team with our heart in the community we serve.,
Our Core Values were chosen by all stakeholders and reflect our passion for growing the holistic child. Above everything else, we aim to teach children right from wrong, to celebrate the diverse and colourful world we live in and champion humanity. With these values at the heart of everything we do as a school, children, as their own characters, leave us ready for the next phase of their lives.
To promote spiritual, moral, social and cultural development through all appropriate curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. We aim to meet this objective with particular reference to issues of equality and diversity. To reduce prejudice and increase understanding of equality through direct teaching across the curriculum.
A copy of the School's Safeguarding Policy and Child Protection Procedures is available here. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This means that we have a Child Protection Policy and procedures in place which we refer to in our prospectus.
The Local Offer has been developed as part of the new Children and Families Act. It aims to provide information on education, health and social care provision available for disabled children and young people and those with special educational needs, in a way that can be accessed quickly and easily.
