Services
Nursery sessions are from 8.40am until 11.40am if you have a morning place, or from 12.15pm until 3.15pm if you have an afternoon session. We offer full day sessions for working parents who are eligiable for 30 hrs a week funding from the government. We are able to offer a nurturing, caring and educational environment for our youngest children.
The children from our Nursery have a smooth transition into Reception as we follow the same routines and the children know the staff well. Each child from other settings will get an opportunity to have visited our school and met some of our amazing teaching staff! For the first few weeks we will assess the children and get to know them well.
During the pandemic it is essential parents follow the guidance on checking symptoms before allowing children into school. If your child is ill please contact the office in the morning so that it can be marked in the register. If your child has vomitted or had diahorrea we ask you keep them at home for 48 hours from the last episode.
We aim to offer three terms, part time nursery education before a child starts full time school. To register your child for nursery please visit the school office with your child's birth certificate. Nursery Admissions are dealt with by the school and we follow the Kirklees Admissions criteria. Children will not normally be allowed to change from one Kirklees nursery to another, unless there is a significant change of address.
For the purposes of this admission policy, Key Stage 1 includes the Reception/Year 1/Year2. 2. Children living in the school's priority admission area who have an older brother or sister attending from the same address at the date of admission. 4. Children who live outside the school's priority admission area who have an older brother or sister attending from the same address at the date of admission.
