Hello everyone, I'm Miss Parnell. I am so excited to start my journey at Copley in September and I can't wait to work closely with the staff, parents and to build strong relationships with the children. I thought I would tell you all a little bit about myself. Outside of school, I am a cheerleader and I love it!
I compete around the country, and I coach a small team as well. I enjoy dog walks with my chocolate Labrador, shopping and reading. My favourite subjects are history as I love learning about the past and how it has shaped our lives today, literacy and PE. I'm looking forward to meeting you all in September and I'm sure we will have the best year together.

Services
Our school is part of the Copley and New Road Federation. We work together to provide the best possible educational experience for our children an learn from each other and share good practice. There is strength in a team and at Copley we have a tremendously strong group of adults all of whom work to give the best to our children.
Like all schools in the area, we are limited to the amount of children we are allowed to accept in each year group. At Copley this is 45 at present. If you are looking for a school in this area please do not hesitate to contact our school administrator. She will only too happy to inform you of any places we have and answer any questions.
We believe that all children have the entitlement to a broad, balanced, creative and coherent curriculum which should prepare them for the opportunities and challenges of the 21st Century. They should be equipped with the skills, attitudes and dispositions they need to become well rounded individuals and life-long learners whilst instilling the love of learning.
If you are a parent of a child with special educational needs and you have any concerns or wish to complain about the provision for your child, in the first instance parents are encouraged to speak to the child's class teacher if they have concerns. If, however parents feel that their issues have not been resolved then they should make an appointment to see the SENCO, a senior member of staff or the Headteacher.
As advertised on the newsletter last week, we have added extra Live Morning Meets (Monday-Thursday) for each class. The purpose of these is to provide a focus on Literacy tasks and more teacher-led learning directed by the class teacher. After 2 weeks of running Phase 2 of our remote learning, we have listened, reviewed, and refined our provision ready for Phase 3 to begin from Monday.
