Raglan Arms

The Raglan Arms has recently been awarded the 2021 AA Rosette award for culinary excellence. Many thanks to our wonderful chef Peter, and all the members of his brigade together with our valued service staff. We went there on a Saturday lunch time. It was not busy although I think it was because they have just reopened since the lockdown. We have ordered a 3 course lunch and it was absolutely amazing! The food is to die for! Portions were perfect size although struggled to finish the dessert but had to try it all!

You won't ever see a lorry outside our door delivering 'food' made in some industrial kitchen. Evening meals are served from Wednesday to Saturday with first service at 6.30 pm through to 8.30 pm. Please call to make a table booking. Your safety in these uncertain times is our top priority so you can enjoy your meal in confidence.

Take the Chepstow Road turning at St Cadocs Church opposite The Beaufort Hotel for 2 miles. Take the right turn signposted Llandenny and arrive at the Raglan Arms (1 mile) on the right in the village. Parking is at the rear. Leaving Usk on the A472 east take the B4235 on your left towards Chepstow (before the slip road to the A449 heading north).

We were impressed by the friendly welcome that the owners provided. Our meals were well cooked, and delicious. The only slight issue was Covid safety, in that the window could not be opened, due to its heritage status, (i.e. very old). The owner wore a mask throughout, which was reassuring.

Lovely old building.
The food was fantastic and nice portions.
Service was fast and friendly.
The gnocchi was superb and the belly pork with mustard mash and red cabbage was fantastic.
Will definitely eat here again.

Absolutely an idyllic gastro pub in the perfect setting. The food is delicious and a varied menu that will suit everyone's taste. The staff and the owner Judith go out of their way to make it a special occasion and we would highly recommend you give The Raglan Arms a visit. 5 star all the way!

Great food - full of flavour and plenty to fill the biggest stomachs.
Good service - fast, polite, and attentive
Reasonable price - for the quality of food the price was very reasonable
Would definitely go again!
