Based just a short 20 minute drive outside of Bristol, the White Hart is a beautiful country pub that opens its doors to everyone. Based in the picturesque village of Littleton-upon-Severn with garden views of the River Severn & Wales. Dating back to the 17th century, this pub is based in the bones of a farmhouse and today still boasts the same rustic, rural feel that it did all those years ago.
Holding onto many of its original features, guests can sink deep into a cosy sofa or take stroll through the venue's cider orchard in the sun. The bar serves a range of real ales, and is home to their own traditional cider brewed only a stone's throw away in their orchard. Couple this with a hearty menu of classic British gastro pub treats, and you've got yourself the ideal location for a lazy summer weekend with the family.

Terrible establishment. Avoid..
4 of us walked into the garden to be met by an individual who asked "Have you booked". We said "no" and were told "well in that case your not able to purchase any food....."
I don't mind being told the chef needs a break but we arrived at 3pm as their website said "food all day" to a nearly empty establishment and when I asked "why" I was told " you can't order food as we are at capacity"...
Complete rubbish....
We were surprised as it was a Saturday on a hot sunny September afternoon and the garden was completely empty...
So we went inside to buy some drinks

Really lovely country pub. Cosy and classy and obviously popular as lots of people inside and out.
Typical pub food but fresh and with a twist. I had the chicken and ham pie which was home cooked and just amazing. The steak was perfect and the fish and chips really lovely. We were a big group but the service was quick and the staff helpful. Good choice of drinks on tap too. Dog friendly and in a beautiful location close to the river Severn and looking over to Wales.

Had a works Christmas Lunch here today from the 'Christmas Feast' Menu. The Venison Croquette starter was lovely and arrived hot which was good, the dessert of Spiced Bakewell was delish ...but the Sirloin/Beef on the Xmas dinner was a real let down I'm sorry to say. Very chewy, over cooked and a strip of tough sinuet running all through the middle! Very disappointing as the rest of the food on the plate was nice. But the main star of the dish was probably one of the worst bits of beef/sirloin I've tasted. A real shame as I wanted to rave about this place. Wont rush back for the meat there.

You have to drive a little way along the country roads of South Glos. to reach this pub with its lovely views across the Severn. A reasonably large pub with good car park to the rear plus front and back garden seating areas - the front one giving you the views (albeit over low hedges). There is also a small, courtyard seating area. Inside there is a choice of seating areas with the usual 'find a table, remember the number and order at the bar' system (caution: if you want to run a tab they do keep your credit card behind the bar - but they do lock it in a special single drawer
