The Christmas Steps
Please note bookings are not required for our outside tables. Our outside tables are available on a first come first served basis, however we usually have one available. If not it's generally only a short wait until one becomes free. With a focus on fresh local ingredients, our kitchen delivers a hearty lunch and dinner menu with an emphasis on innovation and quality.

The craft beer and ale rotation policy showcases the best creations from local breweries as well as an extensive top-shelf selection and wine list. Our music selection aims to provide an up to date soundtrack for drinkers and diners with the free crack magazine jukebox as well as a solid selection of djs on rotation every weekend.

Great place for a stop for a spirit or two.
Ambiance is very hipster and historic for its Pub. Great place to meet folks or hangout after school or work.
There is a view on second floor of some of Bristol historical city.
Lightening is low so not bright that sense of comfy and warm notes as music is low key floating thru the Pub.
Cheers!

Bristol's very own Leaky Cauldron
The Christmas steps can literally do no wrong in my eyes, its absolute magic in there, it reminds me of the Leaky Cauldron off Harry Potter and for that reason its 5 stars all round. Drinks are reasonably priced, staff are always friendly and chatty.
Highly recommend, will always be back.

The Christmas steps is a lovely part of Bristol - replete with genuine history and old charm. The pub of the same name is equally as loaded with historic charm, with friendly staff, good beer, and tasty food. Book a table if you're planning on visiting on a weekend evening; it can get busy. It's a popular place.

Such an interesting part of Bristol. I was only there for one hour but in that time I browsed beautiful little shops and spent time just taking in all the interesting buildings and frontages of enterprises located on the steps. Found a hairdressers I'd love to try and also the best apple doughnut on the planet. I have so many fabulous images on my phone now. Cannot wait to go back again and eat in rather than take away.

Quirky fascinating little bit of Bristol, right in the heart of city but feels like a world apart.

A must-see area in Bristol with loads of good drinks, dining, and shopping in the area. I'm not the best at photos but it's also a great area for photo opportunities.

Very touristy location for some great pictures. Particularly once they take the scaffolding down which ruins the view a little.

Mysterious and atmospheric place, even though it was after Christmas, it still felt magical and festive. I recommend visiting in the evening, when the lights and the small shops really pop out.

Amazing service, small menu of really well prepared homely food and a beautiful place to come sit and eat. Also the Espresso Martini is excellent!

The pub is great, well looked after locally sourced Ale. Happen to be in on a Friday, DJ playing chilled out house. PERECT!

I've heard mixed reviews of the the Christmas Steps pub, on Yelp and word of mouth. I went with around 20 mates last night for some Christmas drinks and had a great night in there, and I'll definitely be back.

What used to be called Three Sugar Loaves, has now been taken over by the guys that run Crack Magazine (it's all about magazine, you'll be pleased to hear) so it already had great credentials, in my eyes; I am a big fan of the magazine.

What I like about it, is that it has several sections and it set over a couple of levels; it's really quirky. The atmosphere
