St Peter's Church Of England Primary School
Early Years is all about playing and learning! If children come home a little messy - it means they have had a great day playing, exploring and learning! Check out the new stunning artworks in our school hall. Created collaboratively by the children in Years 1-5 inspired by the artist Rafael Trelles.
Services
At St. Peter's CE Primary School we take our responsibility to prepare children for life in modern multicultural Britain very seriously. We ensure that the fundamental British Values are introduced, discussed and lived out through the ethos and work of the school.

All curriculum areas provide a vehicle for furthering understanding of these concepts and, in particular, our RE, SMSC, and Philosophy lessons provide excellent opportunities to deepen and develop understanding.
The Governing Body works closely with the Executive Headteacher, Justin Burtt to ensure that St Peter's is a place where children can achieve their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment. We have many legal responsibilities as well as working hard to make sure St Peter's continues to grow from strength to strength.
We are one of the thirty-three schools in the John Donne School Direct partnership, offering an outstanding school-based model of salaried primary teacher training which allows you to learn on the job. Our trainees complete their training year having gained a PGCE with 60 Masters Credits and QTS from Goldsmiths University, allowing them to teach in schools across the UK and worldwide.
At St Peter's Primary School, we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of the children. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the well-being and academic achievement of all our children.

Children at St Peter's have a minimum of 2 hours PE teaching per week as part of their curriculum entitlement and many of our children are active members of sports clubs and activities provided by the London PE and School Sport Network. We aim to establish a culture that enables and encourages all children to play and enjoy sport.
The curriculum at St Peter's is underpinned by our core values of Respect, Peace, Joy, Love, Trust and Hope. Our rationale for the design of our curriculum is simple. We aim for all pupils to acquire a body of knowledge and skills that are specific to individual subjects, can be applied across subjects and that prepare the children for the next stage of their education and life in modern Britain.
