Tower Bridge Primary School
Welcome to The Bridges Federation, where we are proud to say all of our pupils are "I can" children. Our federation comprises three schools: Snowsfields, Tower Bridge and Robert Browning. At each one, our pupils are happy, polite, well behaved and love their school. Every child is seen as an individual, and they are encouraged to take risks, be challenged and be the best they can be.

Our pupils enjoy the range of activities we provide, both within the curriculum and after school. We want them to enjoy learning, developing enquiring minds as well as the personal qualities they need to be good citizens of the world and a sense of their own nationality and culture. At the same time we want pupils to develop a profound respect for the nationalities and cultures of others.
Services
As we move away from the level descriptors we are developing a school wide system based on the end of year expectations from the National Curriculum. Teachers work together to moderate pupil's work and their judgements, to ensure that there is agreement. Teachers take part in external moderation through attendance at professional development meetings.
In year admissions are arranged by the school. Please contact the school of your choice directly if you wish to apply for a place. You will then be invited to come for a visit and complete an enrolment form. We hold regular tours of the school or alternatively please telephone to arrange an appointment.
The winning class each term receive medals and a special trophy. This is reported in the weekly school newsletter also. The school does not authorise any term time absence for holidays and parents may be fined if time is taken. Any long term absence could result in your child losing their place. If your child is ill, please let us know as soon as possible.
Snowsfields, Tower Bridge and Robert Browning Primary schools are diverse, multi-cultural schools, where families belong to many different religions. Each day we get together to celebrate, share, discuss and reflect. This might be as a whole school, in our phases or in our classes. Our programme of assemblies are inclusive, help to develop different aspects of SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural) and reinforce our school and British values.
Pupil Premium funding is intended to address the historic underachievement of children from poorer backgrounds in this country. By giving schools additional money when they have families from poorer backgrounds, the Government is seeking to 'close the gap' in achievement, meaning that any student from any background should be able to achieve at a high level.
