English Martyrs Roman Catholic Primary School
Our English Martyrs' School community aims to follow the example of Christ, in welcoming, recognising, fostering and developing each individual, as a unique and special gift from God with value and dignity. Our Year 5 pupils have prepared a video on the English Martyrs, patron saints of our school and our parish. These were special people who suffered and gave up their lives for what they believed in and therefore they are role models for all of us.

I am proud to welcome you to English Martyrs' Primary School. We are a Catholic school in Walworth, a community inspired by our school mission statement and our school motto - Worship Together, Aspire Together, Excel Together. For over 130 years the school has served the families in our local community and we look forward to continue to do so in the coming years.
English Martyrs' School vision is for excellence in learning, in terms of both achievement and progress. It provides a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum to enable each pupil to develop all those attributes and skills for lifelong learning. We are very fortunate in having a supportive Governing Body and parish priests, dedicated parents, a skilled and committed workforce and hard working, talented pupils.
I have been a Foundation Governor at English Martyrs Catholic Primary School since 2010 and the Chair of Governors since 2012. I initially became a Foundation Governor of a primary school in Plumstead which is where my two daughters attended. I am committed to catholic education with a strong belief in the choice offered through a catholic school, now and for future generations of children.
