In addition to our staff being qualified and experienced in their jobs, we have strong links with East Lothian Council's Support Teachers for Partnership Centres, who work collaboratively with our staff and children in Pre-School. This has allowed us to set our benchmark very high, as we fully believe in ensuring your child receives the best learning and development opportunities that we can provide.
In order to maintain this high level of quality, childcare standards and performance are continually monitored, with all staff having the opportunity to participate in continual professional development and training throughout the year. Regular team meetings and in-house training are used by us to further promote a feeling of team spirit, which we believe encourages staff to feel proud of the important role they play in your child's development.

Services
Almond Park nursery is a place where your child will feel safe, happy, nurtured and stimulated, where our staff team will support and challenge each child through their own learning and development. As well as being a place of learning, the loving, caring environment nurtures children and ensures they are listened to, respected and valued.
Our lunches are supplied by Healthy Tots from Roslin, a dedicated local supplier providing healthy, nutritious food. Almond Park Nursery is committed to improving health and well being in young children. We use the NHS Guidance Document Setting The Table and Food Matters to meet the Scottish Government National Care Standards: Early Education and Childcare up to the age of sixteen (2009).
Through our child-centred / child-led approach, we have developed our unique curriculum for the under threes, which is anchored in the national 'pre-birth to three' framework. For children aged three to five, we follow the Scottish Government's Curriculum for Excellence. The pre-school area offers each child a balance of structured and free choice activities.
