Blossom Tree Children's Nursery is a leading provider of childcare in Edinburgh. We are located in Gilmerton, on the South Side of Edinburgh in an accessible location. Our two garden areas, and the spacious community grounds next to the Nursery give the children the opportunity to play outdoors in all weathers.
Staff are always there to greet you at the door, all have a fantastic professional attitude which makes me confident leaving my daughter at nursery. My daughter is now very confident and mixing well with other children thanks to the staff in the baby room! Days are filled with garden time, messy play and eating which my daughter loves!

Services
We know that the early years of a child's life are crucial to their development and our practitioners work to ensure that every child gets the best possible start in their education at Blossom Tree Children's Nursery. At Blossom Tree we promote play-based education and adhere to national guidance from the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE).
Our Team at Blossom Tree have been working very hard over the past few weeks to create a portal for you and your children to use at home. In the portal there are activities that the children would have been taking part in together had they still been with us at the nursery.
We will be updating this website weekly with new experiences all linked to the curriculum and what we are doing in the nursery so your child can learn alongside us while staying at home!This is also a fantastic way for the children to keep their bonds with the nursery, members of staff and their friends by seeing what we are all doing to have fun during this unknown time.

Children change and develop so quickly and by necessity, their educational requirements change with them. Blossom Tree is structured to provide the most flexible and stimulating of learning programs, no matter what stage your child is at.
From babies just learning to make sense of the world around them to four and five year olds getting ready to make the step up to 'big school', the curriculum has been planned and designed for every child to get the maximum possible benefit and enjoyment.We have 3 rooms. In all these rooms children are supervised by our dedicated and qualified staff and, of course, receive healthy and nutritious snacks and meals.

Children are in this room until they are approximately 2 years old. This part of the nursery is separate from the older children but they can still see each other through garden experiences and activities in and around the local area. The Ladybirds love to explore and are very interested in finding out about the environment around them.
Our busy Bumblebee's are aged between 2-3 years, and as they are a bit older, they are growing ever more curious! This part of the nursery is noisy and exciting for the children to learn and explore within. Caitlin McGregor is our Nursery Supervisor and Bumblebee Room Leader. Caitlin joined the Blossom Tree team in 2016.
