Services
Barlborough Links Golf Club comprises a 9 hole golf course, 12 bay driving range, 9 hole FootGolf course and 8 peg fishing (carp) lake. The course has been open since 1999 and enjoyed a loyal membership. An arson attack on the clubhouse in 2009, followed by little investment in the course upkeep has seen the facility decline in recent years.
Our 11 bay, covered, floodlit driving range is a great facility to utilise when the weather isn't so good for golfing. The range area is relatively flat and always cut to fairway height to give a good indication of landing. If you don't play the course but use the range as your practice facility, it is still worth joining our Affiliate Membership.
FootGolf is an emerging sport encouraging the crossover from football to golf, but quicker, more accessible and with less expensive equipment. It is a good way of getting kids interested in football, interested in golf. FootGolf is played using the principles of golf - tee, fairway, green - but with a much larger 'cup' and using a football instead of a golf ball.
We have two fishing memberships here, however if you would like to 'try before you buy', you can fish the pond for one day at a cost of 6 - this is a one-off session per person after which you must either join as an Affiliate or Full member. Please call Reception on 01246 813111 to book a trial session.
Our driving range Reception and Coffee Shop was borne from the intense disliking of being in the blue portacabin, less affectionately known as 'The Rabbit Hutch'. We'll remove three range bays and use them to build a temporary facility we can operate Reception from and provide a coffee shop to give more of a 'club' feel to the place.

I've been coming here with a friend for a few months now and we love it. The course is challenging but not intimidating, the fairways are nice and wide and the greens are immaculate (but also pretty fast!). Whilst the facilities aren't the greatest (we kind of like it for that reason), a basic driving range with a flat profile and a nice practice putting area are enough to get you warmed up for a round.
The staff are always welcoming and friendly and the place has enough about it for us to keep coming back for more.
Keep up the good work BL 👍

The course is in absolute top condition, hats off to Neil and all ground staff, greens are exceptional unlike tapton and the social distancing is adhered to well, the only issue is that there are still too many people not repairing pitch Mark's otherwise I can't fault the course, well done all, 5 stars

I've only been playing for about 4 months and attended one of Andy Carnall's beginners groups. That was an excellent choice as my time on the range became more consistent. I was then struggling to get the same consistency out on the course. Just one session out on the course with Andy identified a major alignment issue which he corrected for me almost instantly! I've still got a long way to go but he's helping me build up the right tools! Great course as well!
