Our light, open-plan classrooms are set close to nature in the heart of Street near Glastonbury in Somerset. We have childcare places for 3 months to 5-year-olds, and breakfast and after-school and holiday care for 5 to 11 years. We are open daily from 7.15 until 6pm all year round. And come rain or shine we provide daily woodland outdoors adventures for all our children just a short walk away at the Arboretum.
Toaves room is fresh, and bright, and as cosy and as warm as a home, brimful of important developmental resources, encouraging the desire for discovery of our tiniest members. Toaves have their very own Baby Garden. Banders room is a light, spacious and wonderful room enabling learning, exploration and growing independence.

Our philosophy is that children need to be nurtured in a loving, inspiring and fulfilling environment. Our calm, homely and beautiful environment enhances learning and provides intriguing opportunities for our children to make their own discoveries whilst supported and encouraged by our committed team and by their own individual staff member (Key Person).
Jabberwocky's beautifully decorated, bespoke and homely environment promotes emotional well-being, as well as togetherness and friendship. Here, our children feel comfortable and confident enough to explore our nursery resources. Jabberwocky's extensive, outdoors curriculum has an expansive array of learning materials and opportunities for all nursery ages.
In our indoor and outdoor environments we create a magical feeling of awe and wonder for our children and this, combined with focussed and in-the-moment planning, enables children to be the leaders of their own learning. We are also lucky enough to have all the benefits of a natural, learning adventure in our Forest School and Outdoor Learning sessions.

Our son has recently joined the Jabberwocky family and we couldn't be happier. My boy is constantly stimulated all day with various activities and outside play. He loves their food so much and he always comes home with a big smile and on his face. His key workers adore him and give him all the love and attention he needs. All staff are very welcoming and include us as parents in his day with weekly updates via their online platform. I feel at ease knowing we've made the right decision with our nursery choice, thank you Jabberwocky.

My daughter had her settling in sessions at the beginning of September and is now fully settled. The staff team did an excellent job at making my daughter and myself feel safe, secure and confident, nothing is too much trouble and the staff are always friendly, welcoming and happy.

My son has come on massively since beginning at Jabberwocky.
He has made friends, developed and learned new skills and interests.
He loves to be outdoors and has lots of opportunities to explore available he does;
Forest School, Football, Sports, there are two lovely outdoor areas and they have a tinkering table where he can use real tools and create lovely masterpieces.
Staff are continuously happy and supportive.

From Sammy’s first day and to his last at Jabberwooky, each and every person we have had on Sammy’s journey has been kind, caring and supportive, always going above and beyond, always passionate about learning… and development, to each and everyone of you it’s more than a job or career. We, as a family cannot endorse Jabberwooky enough, extremely well ran and managed, always helpful and supportive and have never let us down in anyway. My son has been at Jabberwocky for just over 3 months and has settled very well. The staff team where very supportive during the settling in process, it made the whole process so much easier.
The nursery is a home from home and the children have a wealth of resources.

The care and learning opportunities available to my children at Jabberwocky are excellent. My son and daughter take part in Forest School, Football, PE and cooking activities to name a few. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional, nothing is ever too much.

I cannot recommend Jabberwocky enough. My daughter has been going since she was 8 months in the middle of a global pandemic and they've been amazing. She absolutely loves her time there. Excellent food and what seems like unlimited daily activities. The importance of being outside and experiencing nature is at the heart of what they do. She has become so social and developed tremendously. The team give me an update each day she is collected and truley care for the children at their nursery. Thank you for everything you do!

We recently moved to the area and our daughter started at Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery about a month ago. We have been totally blown away by the wonderful care she has received. The staff provide the very best environment and experiences for all the children in their care. The provision and opportunities for the children are always carefully planned and thought out and allow the children to have so many wonderful experiences. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the children are so excited to see them. We love that our daughter gets to go outside, walk to the park, bake, eat delicious homemade

I couldn't speak more highly of Jabberwocky or anyone who works there. My little boy loves going to nursery and has come on leaps and bounds in terms of his cognitive and social development. The Jabberwocky family is so warm and friendly, and he seems to have bonded really well with everyone. He's no longer shy and clingy, he's excited to see all his friends and happily runs inside straight away. Jabberwocky has far exceeded my already high expectations and I could not be more thankful for how supportive the staff have been and how easy they have made my son's transition into nursery. Yes definitely recommend! The best nursery by far. yes more expensive than some of the other ones but it is so worth the extra money! and very good value for what the children actually get. staff a friendly and nothing is to much for them. I feel it's on a different level to some other nurserys around.

Jabberwocky and all the staff who work there are amazing. they go above and beyond to make sure the children are happy and very well fed! They have set both my children up for life at school by teaching them phonics/ french/ tennis etc. Forest school is their favourite though. Thank you everyone at Jabberwocky!
