Yew Trees Nursery is a friendly day nursery, offering places for children aged 3 months to 5 years, we are open from 7.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday throughout the year. The Nursery is surrounded by fields and open countryside located on a large site in a rural part of Somerset with large outdoor play areas.
This gives children limitless possibilities to explore and learn, through a play-based curriculum which focuses upon being outdoors. Learning to move helps children to develop their muscles and aids strength and co-ordination. It also stimulates their imagination and encourages them to investigate and explore their environment.

Services
The team at Yew Trees Nursery are dedicated to offering a wonderful environment in order for your child to learn through play and are lucky to have a purpose-built nursery with large outdoor play areas to run the nursery in. We are also a charity with an excellent track record of delivering services to young people and families in Somerset.
Our aim is to nurture your child's learning by providing the activities and opportunities for your child to learn through exploration, discovery and problem solving. There are quiet times with stories, singing and gentle music. Our purpose-built nursery has under floor heating and double glazing and provides a bright and airy space where our children can move around freely.
The Babies room has a fun and stimulating series of spaces, offering a safe warm nurturing place for children to play and develop their newly found skills. Staff and parents work closely together to aid each child's developing needs. We offer the children a wide variety of sensory and exploratory activities and experiences both inside and outside, including 'messy' activities such as painting, jelly or pasta play, playdough, sand and water.
Our Toddlers Room is a bright and stimulating environment, providing many opportunities for children to develop, make their own decisions and choose from a variety of activities. Through their play, the children will build upon their confidence, learn about their environment and start to take part in an increasing number of activities outdoors.
The Preschool Room provides a stimulating and exciting area for young minds to grow, experiment and explore. The Preschool children are divided into three groups, Rabbits, Monkeys and Giraffes; this enables them to work in smaller groups.
Each morning children are given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and activities with their key families which are planned around the children's interests, these may include cooking, games, stories, portfolio building, art and crafts.The children can freely access a full range of activities, from construction to small world play, computer to messy play e.g.

I can't recommend Yew Tree enough, my son started at around 8 months I was beyond nervous, he was assigned Bridie as his support and what a credit she is to the company, absolute star!
My son has came on leaps and bounds since starting Yew Tree, they are on the ball with updating me with his progress as well as what he has been up to during the day. Everything is just so well planned, the monthly themed learning as well as the projects and activities.
Thank you to the Yew Tree team, you have made my transition of going back to work full time so much easier and my son well and truly LOVES going

Yew trees is an amazing nursery. I have used them for 7 years with both my children. They have loved every room and the summer camp. The staff are amazing, nothing is ever a bother. The food there is fantastic.
My boys have experienced amazing things during their time at yew trees from forest school to visiting the beach and learning so much on the classroom.
