Joseph Locke Primary School
We would like to offer you a warm welcome to our brand new website and hope that it gives you lots of information about our fantastic school here in Barnsley town centre. Our school celebrated its tenth birthday earlier this year and is a modern, up-to date school set in extensive grounds.

It was named after an eminent Victorian engineer who was educated locally and we believe that our pupils can be inspired by the success he achieved through hard work and determination. If you would like to come and visit us please do- We're sure you will be impressed! RT @DominicSweeting: @JosephLockePS very excited about all the amazing activities we have planned at school as part of the #SchoolStreets #.

At Joseph Locke we take attendance and punctuality very seriously. Our attendance target for 2019-2020 is 97% for the whole school. School opens at 8:50am Monday-Friday and we expect children to be on time for class everyday. We are working extremely hard to increase our attendance and punctuality figures and this will continue throughout the school year!
At Joseph Locke Primary School we want all children to succeed in their education and offer a fully inclusive curriculum. We believe that all members of the school should be treated with respect; have individual and diverse needs recognised.

We believe they should be given the opportunity and appropriate support to confidently reach their full potential, regardless of age, ability, religion, gender, culture and special educational needs and disabilities. The School works with due regard to the SEN Code of Practice and the Equality Act.
