Welcome to Mapplewell Primary School, a place that I am very proud to lead as Headteacher. Our school is a happy, vibrant school where pupils are provided with opportunities to develop the skills and knowledge they require to become life long learners and leave us ready for their next stage in education.
Whether you are visiting our school for the first time or are currently part of the school community we wish you a warm welcome. As a Governing Body our main aim is to work in partnership with the school, parents/carers, the local community and professional advisors to drive forward development in order to ensure that Mapplewell Primary is a continuously improving school for the benefit of pupils in its care.
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services, and Skills. It is the government organisation tasked with inspecting and regulating care for children and young people. This includes inspecting educational facilities for learners of any age. The school has highly effective procedures to support literacy, especially reading and writing.
Welcome to Mapplewell Primary School's Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) information page. We hope the information provided here will help you to understand the variety of ways in which we are able to support your child to succeed in their education and make a successful transition to their next phase of education.
At Mapplewell Primary School we recognise that all pupils regardless of their background, should have equal access to a curriculum which will enable them to reach their potential. The Pupil Premium is a Government initiative that targets extra money to pupils from deprived backgrounds, which research shows; underachieve compared to their peers.
