Charterhouse Pre-School is one of the oldest and most established pre-schools in Orpington. We hope the following will be of use to you, but please contact us if you require further information. We were originally based for many years at Christchurch in Charterhouse Road, and then divided between the Church and The Highway Primary School for several years.

Services
The aim of Charterhouse Pre-School is for children to 'learn through play' within a safe, caring environment, and nurture the development of independence, initiative, social skills and positive self-image through interaction with other children and adults. We believe every child is unique and special regardless of race, gender, culture, religion, language, family background, income, or ability.
Our heartfelt thanks for all you have done over the last 2 years. We iwll all miss you all at Charterhouse so much. Your love and support shines through everything you do with all the children but we have seen the passion you have first hand for those children that need more help and support. Thanks to you 2 wonderful women you have given R the best educational start in life and we are eternally grateful.
Charterhouse Pre-School is an inclusive early years setting and offers the following range of provision to support children with SEND to meet their individual need. The Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) - The SENCo is responsible for co-ordinating the setting's SEND policy and practice.
The learning at Charterhouse is well researched and planned with the emphasis on play and having fun. Our curriculum is adapted and activities are planned to meet the children's individual needs and interests. We ensure the children are given opportunities to explore and expand their knowledge, to introduce their own personal interests and are given equal access to all activities.
