Here you can find out all about our school, see what's happening and look at the children's work. You will also find some useful and important information. Our Governors and staff take the responsibility for your child's education very seriously and make every effort to ensure that each individual pupil receives the highest standard of teaching possible.

At St Brigid's we promote a positive attitude in children. We have high expectations in terms of academic standards and behaviour. Each child is assessed on his/her own merits and individual effort is valued and rewarded. St. Brigid's Primary School is a lively, happy place where the children's needs come first.
Services
St Brigid's encourages each individual to develop his/her full potential by being challenged and valued academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally. The school exists to serve the Catholic community through the provision of a caring and effective Catholic Education. By fostering a pleasant and disciplined environment our children will become responsible and contributing members of society, aware of their own self worth.
The internet provides a space for children and young people to communicate, explore, laugh and learn. There are lots of ways parents and carers can support them in doing these things safely. This toolkit provides three resources that offer practical tips and advice on different aspects of keeping your child safe online.
Personal Development and Mutual Understanding (PDMU) is a specific learning area. The purpose of P.D.M.U. as a separate area of learning within the curriculum is to provide the opportunity for attention to be given to personal and emotional development, health and safety, relationships with others and the development of a greater understanding of their place in the community and of its interdependent nature.
The purpose of Physical Education as a separate area within the Northern Ireland Primary Curriculum is to provide the opportunity for specific attention to be given to the physical development, health and well-being of children.

Through a broad and balanced Physical Education programme, children should develop their knowledge, understanding and skills enabling them to participate and perform competently and confidently in a range of physical activities. All children should experience a sense of fun, enjoyment and achievement through a variety of progressively challenging and innovative activities.
The staff of St Brigid's PS aim to instil in our pupils an appreciation of the world around them eg through gardening club and to develop their awareness of environmental issues such as biodiversity, the importance of litter reduction and of following a healthy lifestyle for example travel actively to school.
