Gibson Primary School is a highly regarded school where high standards are expected and achieved. Where there are more applicants than there are places available for the last criterion which can be applied, selection will be on the basis of distance from the school, as measured by the shortest road route.

At Gibson Primary School we aim to create a stimulating learning environment where every child is valued, challenged and supported. We set high expectations for ourselves and our pupils and continually strive to provide the most effective learning and teaching possible. Our family ethos permeates all that we do.

Gibson Primary School has a highly trained, skilful and dedicated staff of teachers and classroom assistants. We place a high emphasis on staff development with members of staff attending numerous courses throughout the year. Recently all staff members have been trained on phonics and on creating a dyslexia friendly school.

Gibson Primary School is renowned for its after school activities. These activities are predominantly free of charge - exceptions being cookery club, where there is a small charge for ingredients. Our involvement in these activities have enabled our children to enjoy a wide range of successes at local and national level.
