The White Hart is run by The Local Pub Trading Company who bought it in 2006 to prevent the site being turned into houses. Whilst Lynda does most of the cooking, and Calum tends the bar, we are ably supported by lots of local talented chaps and chapesses, who will quickly get to know your favourite tipple.
Ava and Stinky Stan are the original house dogs, and now we have Bella the puppy too. Ava was picked up on our travels through France, came with us to Rio and is now very much enjoying the Suffolk countryside. Stan was found dumped on the road not far from the pub but quickly decided this was a good place to be and is chief meeter and greeter.

Services
As the pub is the Hart of the village, we beat to the drum of rural life. From time to time we put on events such as live music or wine tastings, but throughout the week there is a set pattern to life and various groups use the pub for meetings and the like. Every other TUESDAY, the Ukulele Group meets and practices together and on the alternate, it is the Knitting and Crochet circle.
We are very lucky. We have the sea on our doorstep, pigs snuffling in the fields, orchards teaming with apples and the woods are full of game. We are not a "fine dining" restaurant with a bevy of chefs. We are village pub where either Lynda, Stella or Jude use all this lovely, local produce to make food according to the seasons and their mood.
Whilst we are not full-time outside caterers, we are more than willing to provide food and drink for smaller events. Imagine your dinner party with all the food prepared and even a waiter on hand to do the clearing up. For the corporate world, we can feed you and your guests in all sorts of unlikely locations.

Absolutely diabolical evening. Went for a quiet drink with some family and friends , and had nothing but trouble. Members of staff attacking and upsetting paying customers. Loud music and lights for no reason. And genuinely just a horrid atmosphere. And drinks are overpriced. The only positive was the dogs in the pub. Never visiting again

Worst pub I have ever been in. Flat pints, unfriendly bar staff. Arrogant customers and £4.40 for a bottle of lager!!! Not to mention the bucket under the urinal which was probably a nicer pint than the so called Peroni they have on tap. Poor location. Poorly priced. Would I reccomend? Absolutely not. Might have been a one off but I doubt it.
