The children have free access to a variety of age-appropriate toys and activities, including treasure baskets, sensory play, a cosy den, books and puzzles, as well as lots of the toys they will be familiar with at home. We have a quiet sleeping area and a separate changing area, and a small kitchen in which staff can prepare meals and snacks without having to leave the room.
Joeys' Little Jumpers are aged between 2 and 5 years, and we can accommodate up to 26 children of this age group at any one time. Staffing is based on the number and age of the children present. The Little Jumpers Room consists of a cloakroom area, a separate toilet and nappy changing area, and the main play room which is divided into several areas to provide a large variety of learning and play opportunities.
At Joeys Out of school club we place fun and friendship at the heart of everything that we do. We aim to provide a friendly, welcoming and happy environment in which children can be themselves and make their own choices, whether that means relaxing with a book or a board game at the end of a busy school day, or tackling a daring 'Survival Challenge' obstacle course at one of our holiday club theme weeks.
At Breakfast Club children can choose from a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, toast, crumpets, bagels, breakfast muffins or pancakes to fill them up ready for their busy day at school. We also provide a variety of activities suitable for early mornings, from a cosy book corner for those who wish to relax before school, to the patio area where the children can run around or play ball games if they have any early morning energy to burn off.
