My curry cost £12.00. This appeared on the menu as simply 12
This is as naff as jenga piled chips.
The mango chutney tasted like one from tescos with added water.
By now I was almost looking forward to writing a scathing revue about the curry.... but it was excellent.
Personally I wanted more sauce, and the prawns were a few seconds over, but the balance of the dish was very much there, and this place achieved the rare trick of bistro style fusion with the classic tandoori.
A good meal, but pound signs please AND don't put water in the mango chutney.

1 STAR IS TOO MUCH FOR THIS REVIEW !!!
Where do I begin! This must be the worst Indian meal I have ever had , absolutely disgusting. Waited 1hr and 1/2 for food, for it then to arrive cold.
All of the curry dishes were bland, runny, and tasteless with hardly any meat in it. Onion bhajis full of grease, nan breads very small and thin like Frisbees. The poppadoms arrived in bits along with the tester size pots of condiments, not enough for 1 person let alone 4.
Extremely over priced for what it was.
I will not be ordering from here again so Light Of Asia have lost a local regular customer and

Really good curry house. Stopped here while visiting Aber on a Saturday. It was very busy (always a good sign). Quite a small establishment, but very efficiently run by the many staff who were on hand. All very polite and friendly.
Highly recommend the Balti, although verging on the spicier side we luckily kept the dips which took the edge off.
My only criticism would be the chips that we ordered, despite clearly being listed as "chips" they turned out to be French Fries (weird!).
Two curries with chips, 4 poppadoms, tray of dips and two glasses of orange juice came out to £40.
Would visit

Lovely friendly welcome . The prawn tandoori starter was ‘moist ‘ and full of flavour . The lady on table next to me recommend the fish , cooked with a potato stew. It was perfect - full of flavour and wonderfully cooked. The naan was fluffy and great side. Hubby has a lamb dish and the onion sauce was well prepared and clearly cooked with love . Bottle wine £17- so quite reasonable ! Will return

6 of us had a meal here last night sat 2nd Oct . lovely food but my wife found a piece of wire in her meal . did not want to make a fuss so quietly told the waiter and the reply was sorry think its come off the wire brush they use in the kitchen. thats the last thing we heard about the issue. think they need to work on their customer service a bit.

We tried this indian place as it was highly recommended by trip adviser as the number 1 indian restaurant in the area - however were bitterly disappointed. Portions of curry were really small, little amounts of meat/chicken, flavourless. Prices were extremely high end in comparison to the poor decor of the shop. We ended up buying fish & chips from the shop opposite afterwards!

Awful Indian food! All the curries were made with tinned tomatoes, all tasted the same, customer service was disgusting, ordered take out and wanted to buy a bottle of Coke for the children and the waitress was happy to sell, but the manager stopped her and said he can't sell bottles because they need to serve to the customers with it but you can buy cans of Pepsi, money making scheme. Wouldn't recommend to people that have a taste for curry and know what a curry should taste like. Came all the way from Birmingham on holiday and this was the worst food I had! Ended up in he bin!
