Welcome to Happy Hours Pre-School, a community pre-school run by an elected committee of parents. Children at Happy Hours benefit from a warm, secure and friendly environment with challenging and stimulating experiences both indoors and outdoors. Happy Hours is located within the grounds of Polehampton Infant School in Hermitage Drive, Twyford.
Care is available to children aged 2.5 to 5 years, between 8.45am and 3.15pm. Where sessions are not covered by government funding Happy Hours accepts childcare vouchers or other forms of payment. Happy Hours is dedicated to ensuring high standards of care. Our building is very old and costs a lot to maintain, so all contributions are gratefully received!

Services
A registered member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance, Happy Hours was created in 1969 to be an extension of a happy, fun-loving home environment. We believe Happy Hours should serve the needs of both children and parents from the local community. We follow a structured curriculum that is stimulating, balanced and broad with children learning through play, first hand experiences and planned activities.
Happy Hours offer morning and afternoon sessions lasting 3 hours each starting at 9am or 12.15pm. To aid in the settling in process, before starting at Happy Hours all children will be offered parent-accompanied trial sessions. Lunch club runs for half an hour before or after the afternoon and morning sessions respectively, for children aged 3 years plus.
Children join in with answering their names to our register song, they help to count attendees and set the date, month and weather on the calendar. Jobs are allocated for helping out with day-to-day tasks such as: shaking the shaker, ringing the bell, preparing the table for snacks etc. Each child has a job stick so turns are taken fairly.
Happy Hours offers pre-school care for children aged 2.5 years to school age. We offer morning, afternoon and all day sessions (3 years plus) over five days a week. Children can start at Happy Hours the term after they turn 2.5 years with 2 sessions and increase up to a maximum of 5 sessions. We also offer a lunch club which runs before or after the afternoon and morning sessions respectively, for children aged 3 years plus.

Admissions enquiries do not require any form of deposit however should you wish to proceed with a formal application then we require a 25.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve your child's place, at certain times you may be placed on a waiting list.
