Not Gender Equal 😔👨🏽‍ 👩🏾
For food and service, a well deserved ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Plus our unexpected dessert coordinated by the restaurant manager and hotel for our anniversary.
Sadly, I do have to highlight a clear gender divide in roles within the restaurant. It was sad to see only male waiters communicating with customers.
Females had the role of clearing tables and topping up drinks. Something we do not expect from a top London restaurant 😔

Delicious food and amazing service from the Quilon team. Only been for the brunch experience and its really one of the best indian meals Ive had. The meal is well thought out with a great progression of flavors from starters all the way to dessert. The portions may seem small but theyre quite generous all together. The service is excetional and the staff is the most attentive. Highly recommend this place. ☺️

A terrific experience, shared an early Christmas dinner with partner and friends here. Service was excellent, if not slightly over bearing (was asked if meal ok 4 or 5 times by various waiters). The food was distinct, flavours very good and not over powering. Would highly recommend, unique.

Throughout the time, the service was superb, and the staff was courteous and attentive. Nikita was primarily responsible for our table, which was excellent. The food quality was superb, as Ragbir explained each time the dish was given to the table. The lamb curry was fiery. Perhaps it could have been forewarned. We paid £385 for a non-vegetarian tasting meal for four people and a bottle of wine. It would be beneficial if staff members could wear name badge

Good food but was expecting more from a Michelin star restaurant. The service was great thanks to Viji our host. He made some good recommendations.
The starters were tasty and the sauces that came with the mini popadoms
The lamb shank and Manglorean chicken lacked some flavours and were quite bland.
The desserts were really good especially the Bibinca
Overall, a good experience.

Good restaurant that needs a few tweaks to be exceptional. In summary, amazing starters and wine but very bland main dish. Timing is all wrong and needs fixing. Staff are very friendly but disorganised. Do inform the diners about complementary dishes at the start.
Long review because I genuinely want them to do well. Hopefully this will be seen as constructive.
First the positives, staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Ambiance & decor was pleasant. Wine list is priced very reasonably for quality.
The Fisherman’s catch starter was simply fantastic! The seafood was very fresh. Each

The food was good, but for a meal costing just over £200 (non vegetarian tasting menu plus 2 drinks) for 2 people, we weren't blown away. For a Michelin star restaurant I was hoping for a bit more in terms of wow factor in taste etc, staff we're very friendly and attentive and we we're most definitely full by the end.

I know we visited Quilon when restaurants were only starting to re-open after lock-down, however, one could be forgiven for thinking that a Michelin Star restaurant in London, would grab the extra down-time as an opportunity to plan a grand opening with perhaps a little more refinement to their food and the ambience of the restaurant.
Based on the experience during our visit for my wife's birthday, I can say without hesitation that this is by no means a Michelin star!
Although the food had some flavour, it became apparent when our food was served that the dishes were incoherent with their respective

Posh Indian restaurant with Michelin one star. Ordered seafood tasting menu - which was 95 GBP per person. You get 5-6 dishes all contain seafood. They are delicately made and indeed quite tasty. The service is though a bit rushed... for example, we were there for a birthday and had told them in advance, we got a birthday desert but literally the lady just came out and put on the table without saying anything. We also ordered a few wine to go with the dish and 2nd wine was out but no dish and no one came to explain what the wine was.... So it didn’t make us feel special. I think it’s a good

Cold and characterless setting, stuffy but not very caring service (i asked for the wine list to get a second glass and the server ushered my unfinished glass without checking with me and never checked back so the wine was gone). I hated that they upselled us appetizers by claiming it wont be enough; especially when we ended up with uneaten food and we are both big raters. The food is not Michelin quality, especially the presentation but also really nothing original. I had better curries for 1/5th of a price and did not feel like I was in a post colonial nightmare of poshness. The dessert was a

Best Indian food I've ever had! Service is great, food is wonderful! Prawn Masala, Lobster Butter Pepper and Malabar Paratha are must haves! If you're up for a refreshing cocktail, try the Botanical Garden. I wasn't planning on dessert but my boyfriend decided to order the pistachio cake but also thought he'd ask about the baked yogurt to find out what palm jaggery was because we had no idea what it was. Well, we received the pistachio cake that we ordered and little by little they also brought out a taster of their baked yogurt, mango sorbet, raspberry sorbet and a little chocolate

Came here with the worst guy ever ralph. Actually, surprisingly I really didn't enjoy the food at the restaurant (neither of us did). At first they brought out these various dips. I've tried a lot of Indian food, but never anything quite like these sauces and dips - and unfortunately, I really didn't like them. They had a really peculiar taste to them.

For the main course I got the Quilon fish curry (cubes of halibut simmered in coconut, chilli, and raw mango sauce), and again it was different from any curry I've tried before, and for me personally not in a good way. I felt

I'm Indian and therefore picky about my Indian food. This was one of the highlights of my trip to London. Quilon is one if the best Indian restaurants I've been to. They manage to add a modern twist that fits a western palette without sacrificing too much integrity and tradition. The rassam took me right back to my childhood and the little papads were so frickin cute! The staff was courteous and very professional. The drinks were beautifully presented. The ambiance was calm and quiet. It was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I will definitely return if I ever make

The first dinner for our London vacation was at 1-Michelin Quilon, which happens to be right next to our hotel! The cuisine here is SW Indian, meaning it specializes in seafood with liberal uses of spices and marinades like coconut to add serious flavor boost. Overall wonderful food - 4.5 stars but rounding up to 5 stars when you factor in attentive service and extras thrown in.

I'm trying to cut down a bit on shellfish so we decided to go ala carte rather than their seafood or traditional tasting menus. Total cost for two including VAT (no tips, since they don't take them) was about

I struggled with whether I would be happy with non-traditional Indian place for a night out in London. It turned out to be very good.

The Prawn Masala regular sized dish was a good portion, and the service was very complimentary with Papadam, Rasan, and a bit of sorbet and chocolate wafers at the end of the meal.

My only disappointment was that there was no garlic naan, which is such a staple. I heard other patrons ask for naan as well. However, a light bread was provided instead which was just as appetizing.

The service was perfectly attentive but yet not overly intrusive.

The absolute best Indian food I've ever had. It was fancy and different from the usual Indian food (chicken tikka, lamb saag, etc.). I expected to get some out-of-this-world curry and naan, but glad it wasn't the case.

We ordered several entrees as recommended by the server:
Mango ginger chicken
Baked black cod
Braised lamb shank
Prawn masala
Coconut with asparagus and snow peas

Every single dish was to die for, excl the last one. Service was great and price was affordable, I'd be back here in a heartbeat if in the area in London.

Popped into Quilon for dinner after a long day at work. Had couple of colleagues joining me and I offered to treat them to food from my land.

I didn't look up the restaurant on Yelp or Google just got there. No Menu was displayed outside so no idea how pricey it was. Upon entering the reception staff greeted us and took our coats. The Maitre d' took us to our table and we were encouraged to sit where all the other guest were sat - reason given was there were only two waiters and we will get a better service.

Menu and options were bit of a let for me personally, while Quilon positions

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place before a movie nearby. And WOW was it a great find. Seated promptly (6:30 is early for dinner) Service was EXCELLENT- prompt on wine/water refills, checked up on us just multiple times, delightful ambiance overall. Tried to push the pre-set menu a bit, but I don't blame our server at all because of you've never had South Indian coastal cuisine, it's a good deal to try multiple plates on the menu.

We ordered crab cakes as the starter to split, a bit small for £13, but delicious and mustard sauce was a great touch. Had 2 mains (black

This is one of our favorite restaurants when we visit London.

This is not your typical Indian restaurant. They specialize in Southwest coastal Indian cuisine. I am typically not a huge fan of Indian food. However, we both love this restaurant! You must try the tasting menu. The various and distinct flavors are wonderful. And, the presentation is fantastic.

This is a true fine dining experience that is not to be missed! We are heading back to London in a few weeks and we will definitely be stopping by for dinner again!

Visiting from out of town and went here with my coworker to try out Indian food in London as we heard good things. I love Indian food and spent some time in India as well on a volunteer trip years ago and often think back to my yummy food experiences there.... like cheese naan, oregano naan, chai marsala in the evening, no vindaloo being available as its not actually Indian at all but wanting it, most perfect lamb/goat curries, fresh fried samosas... OMG lol. Okay I'll move on :) Well Quilon was good but not special and expensive too. Menu appeared to be contemporary take on Indian food and

I came here on a trip to London and had a very enjoyable dinner experience. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. We found the music to be a little off-putting, but overall enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The service throughout our meal was pretty good, not exemplary, but we had no complaints.

For starters, we got the cauliflower chili fry and the char grilled scallops. The staff was nice enough to split the appetizers for us on two separate plates. The char grilled scallops were pretty good and well-cooked, but the cauliflower stole the show for us. It is perfectly

My husband and I had lunch at Quilon yesterday, to celebrate my birthday. Here are my thoughts:

Ambiance is great. The table set up is really nice and the restaurant is very clean and sleek.

Service was a bit rocky in the beginning as nobody came by to take our order. My husband finally got up to request that someone come by and from there on out service was fantastic. The manager (?) asked if everything was okay numerous times, saying that I wasn't eating much and he'd be happy to have the kitchen send out something different if I preferred. (I ate MORE than enough!)

Food was quite

As a former part of the Empire it's no surprise that outstanding Indian cuisine can be found in the UK. Quilon, a Michelin one star, delivers; producing stunning South-west coastal Indian cuisine modernized for today's taste. This is a sensory charged eperience.
