Wells Hall Primary School
At Wells Hall Primary School, we are very proud of our children and everything that they achieve. We strongly believe that Primary Education is significant, it provides the foundation for children and we feel very privileged to be working with the families and community to shape our young people for the future.

We aim for excellence in all that we undertake. We want to inspire your children to become confident individuals who are ready for the next stage in their learning. Our school is fortunate that it has close links with Thomas Gainsborough School and the wider local community. This develops within the children a sense of responsibility, instilling in them a sense of individual worth and a respect for others around them.

Wells Hall is located in the southern side of Great Cornard, which adjoins the town of Sudbury. The staff deliver an exciting and creative curriculum supplemented by a range of educational visits including residential trips. We offer a good range of extra-curricular activities that changes termly and supplements their learning in school.
In our school we work hard to encourage positive attitudes, independent learning, a sense of pride and high achievement. Wells Hall pupils are motivated learners who ask questions and listen to and respect others. They take pride in their work, demonstrate positive learning habits and strive to do their best.
At Wells Hall Primary School, we are committed to teaching a broad and balanced curriculum that is stimulating, motivating and encourages pupils to become independent and aspirational learners. This year we have launched our new CUSP (Curriculum with Unity Schools Partnership) curriculum which is underpinned by research evidence and cognitive science.
At Wells Hall School we promote 'British Values' through our spiritual, moral, social and cultural education which permeates through the School's curriculum and supports the development of the 'whole child'. At Wells Hall School we recognise that such development is most successful when those values and attitudes are promoted by all the staff and provide a model of behaviour for our pupils.
Our aim is to provide high quality PE for a minimum duration of 2 hours a week and increase participation through extra-curricular sporting activities, clubs and competitions. At Wells Hall we are committed to providing the best sporting education to the pupils at our school.

We currently employ two PE specialists and are fortunate enough to access fantastic facilities through our link to TGS (including: Basketball courts, Netball courts, Football pitches, Tennis courts and two swimming pools). This year we aim to continue to improve the participation by offering a wider range of clubs and competing in more events throughout the year.
